I just need my lightbulb to be switched on but I think the fuse has blown for now as I am in the dark.
But thank you all, I appreciate the time you have all taken to talk to me and offer your experiences and opinions.
Hugs ladies.
lisa, you're still so young. Why not just give your body and mind time to heal? There's nothing wrong with taking a year off. How about making a decision to not even think about it for 12 months? Take the pressure off yourself. I have every confidence that the right path will become clear in time x."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
Officially in the 2ww now, I had the IUI this morning. Had a BFP this morning from the trigger, nice to see those 2 lines, but very bittersweet that it's drug induced. I'm going to put my feet up for the rest of the day, I'm feeling a bit crampy & emotional

Because i've been TTC for over 10 years and it feels like a life time. No offence but I am always being told to wait by most people I talk to about it and I want to scream that I have waited long enough. I simply can't stop thinking about it for a year. I know the advise is well meant and it is appreciated all the same.

I know you've waited long enough (too long) for a baby. It's not so much that I'm telling you to keep waiting - that would be facile and insensitive, a bit like "All good things come to those who wait! Just be patient!". That's not what I'm saying. You just seem confused as to whether to give up or keep trying and you say you need your lightbulb to come on and until then you're in the dark.
I think I'm just agreeing with you; your lightbulb will come on and show you what to do next. But you don't know when. Until then I don't think there's much point in your trying to make a decision, you're too confused and upset and it might not be the right one."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
I agree with that FN, sums it up very well indeed.

Hi all
I have been a lurker for a while now and thought id share where we are up to and get some advice.
Nobody other then our doc is aware of our situation. Im 30 and DH is 30. We have been TTC for 15 months with no success. My cycles averaged 46 days up until this current one.. currently on CD 126:eek::mad:
We have been to doc who has sent me for blood tests and DH is doing a seman analysis on Thursday.
I guess Im wondering what the next step is from here?
I am also worried about my BMI I am Obese and was wondering if anyone had come up against any issues having a high BMI.
Another burden is our friends and family dont know and we dont want to tell them DH and I are very private and prefer to stay that way.. however all we ever here is "when are you having a baby... we want a grandchild blah blah blah" Like we are not trying !!
Sorry didnt mean to rant it just gets so frustrating and upsetting
Goal - We want to be mortgages free :j

Hi Mrs Rogers
I was obese too and lost a lot of weight to try to help my chances. Being obese can increase your chance of miscarriage so it's a good idea to try to shift the weight. Also if you end up needing certain treatments they will insist that you bring your BMI down, so might as well start now! Of course also good for your general health too. Good luck.0 -
Well, managed to get an appt with Dr Shehata at his private clinic for next Thursday, which is great. Also went to my GP today and asked for an NHS referral to him, which she was happy to do - hopefully this will come through fairly quickly.
I feel positive that we are doing something, though I suspect my psyche is having a harder time dealing with the miscarriage than I'd like to admit, given the binge eating that's going on here tonight
. Giving myself today and then I have to get myself together or I'll start putting on the weight I worked so hard to get off. 0
