Hi fluffnutter. The quality issues all seem to be connected to my ex/ICSI. Since having IVF with my husband we have made lovely high quality blastocycts so that does not appear to be the problem. It is simply that they never take (or they do but in the wrong place)

The immune issues are not insurmountable, they simply do not know why I have had so many failures. And while yes, I am still young, I have had 8 rounds of ICSI/IVF/FET over 10 years and it has almost killed me (figuratively speaking) It is so hard to just keep knocking on the same door to be told you are not coming in from the cold once more.

Anyway, I am thread hogging. Thank you all so much for reading and for your advice and comments.

You know what? I'd keep going if I were you. You're far too young to give up on your baby dream. Your only barrier now (I assume) might be cost, and how the IVF makes you feel, obviously.

But how would you feel to never have your own child? Keep trying, lovey. It's not over yet.

Lisa, thanks for sharing. Due to your age and what has happened I would give the IVF another go with the clinic you are happy with. As we all know with IVF it's a numbers game and we pray that one will work. The fact you got a positive last time and you are aware of your immune problems I think it's worth ago, if you can afford it.

I have had the most awful migraine for last day and half, I have never had migraine before but this wasn't a normal headache. I don't know if it's the drugs or the steroids, I have never had this before and the only thing different is the steroids. Trigger shot done las night, nice to have an injection free day today. This cycle has been my hardest and still don't feel 100%.

Three days of Clexane injections and I'm bruised like a peach. Anyone got any tips on how to do it without bruising? I was sure last time I just pressed on the spot afterwards but it doesn't seem to be helping this time.

Also my consultant seems to have gone missing - I emailed her on MOnday to tell her I was pregnant and have had no response. Suddenly worried she may have left the hospital last year and I never knew!

Lisa - given your youth (!), your financial security and your drive to have a biological child, I'd give it another go. In fact, in your shoes, I'd give it another two or three goes before hanging up my hat and pursuing other avenues.

You have gone through a lot of anguish - but IVF can work for you, you have had successes - just a lot of bad luck as well. And your luck could turn.

Worst case scenario - you have another one or two goes and it doesn't work. This will hurt, but you won't really be worse off than you are now.

Best case scenario - it might work..

Only you can know how strong you feel inside.
  • Juju - good luck for tomorrow, hopefully your headache will have eased by then as well x

Day 10 today (not that Im counting) and still nothing, want Monday to be here but in the same breath don't, not knowing at the moment feels quite safe if you know what I mean!!

    Hi everyone

I went to the clinic for my scan today :) all good (I think!). On one ovary 3 follies, 12, 3 & 4mm, and on the other ovary 2 follies, 8 & 9 mm. So 3 really. No changes in my meds, & I go back for another scan on Saturday to check growth rates. Fingers crossed :)

  • Sarahs999, I wish you the most boring, average next 8 months imaginable (in the nicest possible way!). Congrats

Onestep, hope all is going well

Juju, good luck for your EC tomorrow

QQ, so sorry about your cycle, wishing you all the luck in the world for your next go

LW78, I too would give it another go, can see you have lots of support from the ladies on here so dont know what else to say really.

SS, hope youre ok. These last few days are the worst arent they

And hello to any newbies. Hope I havent missed anyone, catching up on my phone so not great to look at previous posts.

I am on CD17 and have period pains already . I usually cycle approx 25 days so bit early for pains yet. My drugs for FET are due to arrive tomorrow. Feeling nervous about having to go through all these emotions yet again. I do admire you ladies for putting yourselves through it time and time again.

Also had a nosebleed for the first time in my life last night. And guess what the first thought that ran through my mind was..... yep, you guessed it... "oooh maybe Im pregnant" :rotfl:. Even though Im obviously not! This ttc lark is driving me doolally!

Good luck to all who need it xx

lisa, if you can afford it i would definately give ivf another couple of goes, as now they know your immune issues you have the best possible chance, and hopefully you will get lucky xx

QQuaver sorry it didn't work this time, hopefully the next one will xx

sillysausage hang in there not long now xxx

onestep, glad things are going well, good luck xx

sarah, i don't know any secret to injections, mum caught sight of my stomach during my ivf cycle and was really shocked as i was black blue and purple, so i'm definately not the person to ask!

cake4brains good luck with youre FET xx

juju sorry you have not been well, i had to be injected steroids for 3 months while pregnant as i nwas in hospital i dont know what dose i was getting, but it made me feel really grotty and my whole body was swollen, so i would say it probably is the steroids making you feel ill, good luck with your EC and hope you feel better soon xx

Egg collection went well, collected 11 eggs but some of these maybe a bit immature, need to call tomorrow to see how many have fertilised, my eggs tend to struggle on this part so praying for a good response. Feel pretty ok. The migraine did take a day and a half to but it could be the meds, just steroids and those lovely pesseries now.

    Fingers crossed for everyone. X

Juju - glad egg collection went well and will keep fingers crossed that they mature nicely.

SS - only a few days to go, hard to ss when you have no symptoms

Lisa - I would be tempted to have at least one more go at ivf before considering the pther options - good luck with whatever you decide.

OneStep - fingers crossed for good news at your scan on Saturday
