Sillysauagae hope EC went well and you have your feet up.

Runner, good luck on appt and have a great time in London. Can't believe you are catching me up on my 4th go.

Primmer - hope you get some answers to your results.

There have been a few insensitive people on here lately and perhaps a new thread would help. I am the same as Runner been trying for 5 1/2 years and ICSI is our only hope and I certainly don't want to be wasting my money on it if it was just that easy and relax.

Started stim drugs yesterday and as they have change the way I normally do it I was convinced the needle was bigger and I couldn't get the !!!!!! in, after much blood spots and pain it went in and then i was in pain when the liquid went in and I have never had that before. Think i got a little worked up about it. Had a nice meal with friends last night but ended up crying when my friend was telling me about my other friend moaning about how ill she is with her pregnancy (ode to be in the position), I think they got the message and stopped talking about it.

Onwards and upwards and a kids birthday party on Sunday! I had to rent a kid, I am taking my 2 year old nephew.

How about a new thread, with a title or opening post along the lines that it is a virtual Fertility Clinic, offering advice and support for anyone who has tried for a long time to conceive or who has known issues?

You would after all like to think that no one would walk into an IVF clinic or similar with their "Baby under Construction" maternity top on, and announce through a megaphone that everyone in the waiting room should start eating bananas, or just take a big chill pill. Or that they would at least think twice about it, and realise that such behaviour is several stops down the express line from "insensitive". I really can't see how anyone who reads back even one page of posts before sticking their oar in could come to the conclusion that this is a general TTC thread for ladies who are just taking a leisurely amble to a BFP, but apparently some do at the moment.
  • Thanks everyone, had my EC today, all gone well, procedure took only about 15 mins in total. Everyone was really lovely which helped greatly (apart from the drugs!!). They managed to get 4 eggs out! Was v sleepy on the way home and kept dropping off (husband driving!!), when to bed and slept till 6pm, still feel groggy. I'm not in much pain, more can just 'feel' a bit sore down there, if this is the worst for me then I feel I have got away lightly! Just got to wait for our phone call tomorrow to let us know if anything has fertilized. This is a really emotional rollercoster.

    Good luck Primmer with everything.
Jugjugaboo - good luck with your injections, sounds a bit of a nightmare x

I will let you know tomorrow how everything has gone.
  • Sorry for any offence caused by sharing my story. i will try and delete the post. I didnt realise that this was a forum for those ttc with medical diagnosis on infertility only. It wasnt clear in the thread title. Maybe that is why people are posting such posts.

    All the best with everything

When this thread originally started it was because there were a few members of the trying for a baby thread who were getting disheartened when new members joined and seemed to get a BFP straightaway, for those who had been trying for several months it had got upsetting and a little insensitive. A few members decided to split the thread so that those who were going down the route of testing/treatment had like minded people to gain support from. (without reading 'omg it happened the first month' posts)

Whist it may not be clear from the thread title the opening post and certainly last few pages make it clear its purpose.

Oooh sillysausage, that is fab news.
4 eggs is great going, are you ICSI or IVF? Good luck with that phonecall tomorrow! You may feel a bit more sore tomorrow but in my experience paracetamol usually takes care of it and rest as you will still be tired.

    Good luck

    Hi everyone

I've been reading the last few pages with a growing sense of disquiet. We are - because we are posting here - hugely sensitive about ttc and our inability to conceive, & I know that makes me react in a way that I'm not proud of. It makes me whisper uncomplimentary things under my breath when I read how people conceive so easily, and seem to take the ability to do so very lightly. And I know that's not really the case for the majority of women, just that my perception of reality has been warped by my experiences. So I'm going to take a deep breath.. And tell myself that I need to gain my perspective back. These posters think they are helping, I'm sure, and I sincerely wish them all the best with their wonderful, amazing pregnancies. And one day, when we've had our interventions, & we are pregnant with our miracle babies we can relax and smile at the world.

Just waiting for AF to come before we can start things off. Must be the first time that I'm temping and actually hoping to see my temp drop! 8-9 dpo I think.

Runner: glad you liked the clinic!! :)

    Hugs everyone
