I've been pointed in this direction as I expect some of you have been/are going through a similar thing to me.
um...I better introduce myself
I'm know as Frin (nickname) and I have been with my hubs since I was 16 (14yrs now!) we have been married for 3yrs.
I have Endometriosis which had spread into my fallopian tubes and I had both tubes removed in 2009 and the only option for us to concieve is IVF, We were really fortunate to be able to have 2 NHS funded cycles in 2009 but sadly both failed the consultants think this is to do with getting the drug dosage right as the embryo quality wasn't as brill as they expected. As you all know TTC especially long term is such emotional hard work and at the moment we are desperately saving although there is no way it will happy naturally for us it would be nice to chat to anyone going through similar times.
I hope I get to chat with you all soon, wow sorry for the long post! lol!

Welcome Frin:wave:
Good luck with saving, but have you considered egg sharing?
You seem to be under 36 years old, so you may fit the criteria for reduced cost IVF?

Hi Frin, glad you joined us.
I am in the same boat as you with no tubes, a clotting disorder and MTHFR (no tubes due to ectopics caused by scarring)
I'm sorry you find yourself here and that egg sharing is not an option. I hope you can find a way to fund, as suggested before pop on over to the up your income board and see if those guys have any great ideas.
Hope your stay here is a short one :-)

Welcome Frin, I have had 3 failed ICSI cycles now and was told my last cycle was like my first one really as its the one they got the doseage right, it just didn't work possibly because I have high Natural Killer Cells but I will be trying to correct this with steroids on my next go in November. I had 2 free goes and the last one we paid for as we had the cash but we have had to remortgage now to have another 2 goes. I hope you manage to keep saving and your stay here is short. xBEST WIN LAST YEAR - MULBERRY HANDBAGSENDING STICKY VIBES TO THOSE WHO NEED THEM

Just popping in for a quick tip - any time you have procedures where they pump you with air, make sure you get some peppermint capsules. You can get mean trapped wind (I had pains around my shoulders from it) and the peppermint capsules help disperse the gas.Am not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o

Never heard of peppermint capsules. Must remember that if I ever have the procedure, thanks:)0 -

Hi! Baby B is just perfect. My mate says she's so easy, she's false advertising for having babies! (She's just at the point where she's going to start trying). Honestly, OH and I say that we were owed some easy times after the journey to get here, and she really is wonderful. I wish you all such joy.
And the peppermint capsules really really helped. I sweated peppermint.:DAm not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o

Hi girls, just popping in to say hello and give an update on where I am.
Not had time to read back far, but wooohooo for Chickpea on the inheritance! Hello to the newbies, hope you're not here long ;-)
Well I'm half way through my first IUI cycle, going back for a blood test on the 12th, 2ww is going fast so far so that's good (having said that, just realised i'm only about 3 days into it!...)
At my last scan the nurse spotted a lump on my endometrium which she said might be a polyp which could be interferring so will need a hysteroscopy too if i'm not preggers this time round. Does anyone know if i'll need much time off work for this?Proud to be a moneysaver! :cool:0 -
Hi everyone. I dont post very often but read every day. I go for my baseline scan tomorrow morning and start my stims (I'm on short protocol), I'm very nervous! Does anyone have any tips? I have read somewhere about drinking more water and milk and eating brazil nuts but can't find this info now, does anyone about this? Thanks.0
