Sorry C4B I don't have an answer for you either as I only ever have IVF.

Sacha, welcome, try another Dr or explain to your Dr how upset and depressed its making you that might make him move a bit quicker.

Toni, still beaming after your news, gives me hope.

Thanks everyone, I did mention soy tablets to the fertility specialist after she said the next step would have to be IVF, although she didnt seem very interested. She just shrugged and said why not! Not exactly encouraging. Still waiting for appointment to see her again so she can refer us to IVF specialist. I'm not exactly the most patient person in the world, I just want to get started!

I probably wont be posting much on here as I'm not a chatty person but lots of luck to you all, will be lurking and keeping my fingers crossed for everybody xx

Hi Cake4 brains - I wouldn't recommend Soy - I only took it one month and my cycle went into freefall, AF started 2 days post0V. Usually it's v regular and I never have late periods so I think it was definitely the soy. whatever it did wasn't a good thing though because it cost me that month!

Keep us posted on your IVF journey!

welcome sacha, i would also try a different doctor, could you both go to your partners doctor?

Ok time for a bit more of the story.......so far my OH hasn't had a sperm test. This has been his choice and, believe me, I had a few choice words to say about it. He was of the belief that, as he has a 3 year old daughter, his sperm must be fine and he's also silly enough to listen to well meaning friends that say it shouldn't be necessary!! After a very eye opening heart to heart he's told me he's terrified to do it as he thinks I will leave if his sperm count is low. Silly man.
My doctor has said he will not put me through any more tests until he has done his part and now I feel like pulling the plug on the whole thing :(
I had yet another blood test over a week ago at day 21 of MC to see if I was OV'ing and the result came back that I was mid-cycle, how does that work?
I am so fed up right now.

Sacha - I'm no good with anything to do with ovulation, I find the whole thing completely confusing so just do what I'm told by the doctor and ask tons of questions. The other ladies on here know lots about it though so hopefully someone will be able to help.

In regard to your partner I'd explain that he didnt' leave you despite the problems that you had and that it's the same but the other way round if you see what I mean. He in theory could have taken the view that he wouldn't have stayed with you if you'd been left infertile but you had faith in him and it was all fine. If you need IVF or anything like that he will need a test. My husband was reluctant but I just said well if you don't do it they can't help us and that will put a stop to our plans, he was more embarrased than anything I think but got over it as he could see the bigger picture. Not only that but for the men it's a walk in the park compared to what women go through so its a shame they can be so stubborn :o

On a different note...does anyone know if it's ok to take vitamin E capsules if you are due to start IVF? I'm currently taking folic acid but read somewhere that vitamin E is good for ttc, but don't want to continue with it if it's not a good idea. Thanks

Thanks PinkPeach, after our chat he did say he felt ashamed for being so selfish considering what I have already been through. Every day is a battle with my inner self, I want to stop because I'm so p****d off with being miserable about it (I'm not a miserable person in the slightest) and I'm also annoyed at just how important it seems to have become. 10 years ago I was so blissful in the whole 'I can't have children' attitude because I had already dealt with the information given to me. Even as soon as 4 years ago it still didn't bother me, and now I'm driving myself (and the OH) mad because all I want is an answer, a child at the end would be a huge bonus but it is ultimately the truth I am after.

Pink Peach - I take the Zita West Pregnancy Plan vitamins which have 20mg of Vitamin in, if thats any help.

Sacha - hope OH does go and get tested as like you say you can't move on without it and he is holding the matter up. I find if I am doing something to help the situation there isn't much more you can do, one day at a time and lots of deep breaths.
