    CD21 - still nothing! I've never OV'd this late.

    +++++

    Oh well - I have now lost 2 and a half stones - getting dangerously close to 'normal' territory..!

    Chickpea - 2 & a half stones is brilliant, well done! Could it be that you missed ov this month? When I say missed, I mean missed the signs not missed ovulating. I hope I ov'd late this month because there was no opportunity for bd'ing around my normal ov date :o.

    Hi Murray - I may have missed OV - in fact, I bet I have. I have been using CBFM and it has been HIGH since CD9 - I reckon the Clomid has messed it up..

    Uusually I just use the IC PIAC tests, and they work fine with Clomid.

    ++++++

    With the weightloss - that's since Sep 09! I went to Slimming World in the beginning. I told myself I was mainly going for my sister's sake - she was even heavier - but looking back, who was I kidding?! I was 14+ stone! I lost 10 pounds with SW before I got bored. I then drifted for a bit and put some back on before I tried Diet Chef. I lost about a stone with that before I got bored, started drifting and put on a bit. Then last autumn I was doing extreme calorie reduction...and now just Ueber-healthy eating!

    Well done chickpea - it's really hard, isn't it? It's nearly a year since I got to goal and while my weight has fluctuated in that time I'm currenly only three pounds over my goal weight, which feels really good. But such, such hard work. My resting metabolic rate was measured as part of the medical diet I was on and it's stupidly low (1150 calories a day - that's the amount I can eat if I am at rest, and not put weight on. Which is less than most recommended weight-loss diets for women!). Exercise is the answer for me, so have had to adapt to a huge lifestyle change.

    Ho hum.

    ANyway, I had another Zhai clinic appt yesterday, which included some very nice acupuncture (fell fast asleep). This was electrical acupuncture - anyone had that? Was quite freaked out when they started attaching electrodes to the needles. Felt like I was in a video nasty - stick needles in your stomach and then electrify them! But it was actually very relaxing once I'd got used to the pulsing feeling.

    I also went through the results of my very expensive hormone tests. Was particularly interested in the anti-mullerian hormone test which is relatively new and also they keep changing the unit of measurement, which can mean you get very odd readings if you're looking at the wrong scale. It seems to measure your egg quality, for want of a better explanation (though it's not totally accurate, and they use it more as a guide). Anyway, the scale I was using had 'negligible', 'low', satisfactory' and 'optimal'. I came out about halfway through the low one. Which is very interesting as my problem has never been conception, it's been keeping hold of them. It seems to bear out the hypothesis that it's my egg quality that is the problem rather than my blood-clotting disorders.

    I was a bit gutted though. It looked pretty awful in black and white. But the doctor saw my face and said that actually, my reading was much higher than most of the people they treat there. And they have an 80% success rate. So that gave me a bit of hope.

    ANyone else had the test adn had it explained better?

    thats really interesting sarah, i hadn't heard of it, im glad you have an 80% chance of success thats really good, i know if my fet works this time i am going to be terrified of losing another one, i know i am rhesus negative but i'm not aware of any other problems, and that shouldn't affect me until after 12 weeks, but we cant seem to get that far

    I am laying low at the moment. I had to cancel IUI last cycle as my scanning days fell over a bank holiday and i was away at a wedding anyway. This month I have to go to NI for work for 4 days from CD 10 so its a no go. Feel a bit fed up and life is getting in the way - yet at the same time my life is on hold. Fingers crossed I should be gearing up for IUI at the end of July.

    I am hoping I can still catch Ov albeit naturally this month.

    I had a dream last night that I was pg with triplets. (There were 3 lines on the test for 3 of them). My ecstasy in my dream at seeing a second line (s) (which I have never seen in real life) was harshly broken in the light of day.

    Good luck Runner with the FET, hope it all works out. Sorry to hear Ethel is poorly and how many pots!!! I haven't even done mine this year as money is a bit tight. I am hoping to have another treatment as soon as I have looked into all the immune issues but you know what its like everything takes so long. My friend is Rehsus Neg as well but she didn't know till she was 12 weeks in.

    Sarah - I just had the AMH test and I came out just below average, which they didn't seem to concerned about but he want to look at my FSH blood test to go with it. My problem is I need max drugs to get enough eggs and when I do get them they are fragile and don't like being injected. I can't seem to hold them either, what is your blood clotting issue?

    Good luck CCM on catching that OV.
