No need for a test this morning, another temp drop & AF arrived :( I went to the GP & they're doing a blood test to see if I was pregnant or not but he said it prob was an early loss :(
I just feel a bit numb.

On the plus side, the consultant phoned, & I've got an appointment tomorrow  any idea what I can expect? Is it worth me taking my FF charts for instance?

    Sorry about AF onestep.

Still, if you want to see a silver lining to the cloud - you have a cycle buddy! I'm CD01 too.

Clomid is off, this month is au naturale!

    Hi onestep

When we were first trying to conceive, I had a couple of cycles like that, and was told by the FS that they may have been early losses though I only ever had BFNs. I didn't personally find that very helpful at the time, and if anything more upsetting than not conceiving at all. When I finally did conceive after 6 long years of trying it felt very very different, and I now doubt whether for me they were early losses at all.

At such an early stage it is so difficult to be able to say definitively what has happened, so in your shoes I would choose to believe whatever gave myself most comfort!

Good luck with your appointment tomorrow. I'd take everything and write down all the questions you want to ask. If you don't need it or it doesn't seem relevant on the day you don't need to take it out of your bag, but better that than wanting to refer to it and not having it to hand. All the fertility specialists seem to do things slightly differently, so you can't second guess really what they will find relevant.

Fingers crossed for you Runner for Thursday. Hope everything goes well.

Well, i'm on day 11 of downregging and feeling tired still. The hot flushes have been almost unbearable in the heat the last few days as well. Other than that, i'm feeling fine in myself.

I have bloods on Thursday, then as long as no phonecall to tell me otherwise, I start stimming on Friday

Today wasn't the best of days for me i'm afraid. We took our middle cat to the vet this morning as we'd noticed her breathing was off. She has fluid on her lungs and her heart is about to give out :( She's only 9 years old (the vet called her middle aged) He's sent us home with pills for us. He can't do anything else as she's not strong enough to be sedated. He said he wants to see her again, but not to put her in the car to take her as the stress could kill her. We've been sat here all day watching her and we've to call him (the vet) shortly to update him. My poor baby girl :(

Oh, Glastonbury was OK as well.

I'm all for silver linings, yey for cycle buddies!

Thanks Nicki, I think I'm going to consider it a warm up - it's further than we've got for years.

sexki11en hope you're a bit cooler today. I'm sorry about your cat :(

So today's appointment: at a private hospital..very clean, very quiet, very empty :) No waiting. Whisked gently into see the consultant, who gently went through my history, phoned the hospital to get DH's SA results (first time I'd actually heard the results!) and he then suggested doing a quick pelvic exam & internal. Now I am NOT good with those, but ok, needs doing. Fainted when I got off the couch :o He's ordered a couple of extra blood tests (AMH etc) and we're planning a HSG too. Which I am already bricking myself about. I'm now going to investigate self hypnosis to try and get past this fainting thing - I've fainted after smear tests in the past :( Any ideas gratefully received. I know that if we go down the IVF route (most likely apparently) that I've got to get used to that kind of exam.. Think it's one of the main reasons I have put off fertility investigations up til now :(

Sorry for the essay! Hope everyone else is doing OK.

sexkillen, hope you feel better soon, sorry to hear about your cat, hope she can get through it, we lost one of our chickens ethel last week, snowy then came down with the same thing at the weekend but she seems to have responded well to the antibiotics, its always upsetting when a pet gets ill.

Good luck for tomorrow Runner! Sorry to hear about ethel

sexki11en - good luck for stimming on Friday if all is OK. Sorry to hear about poorly cat too, I know I would feel the same if it was my cat. Shame you are having hot flushes on the down reg, its funny I don't really get any symptons when i down reg. Glasto was only OK, I thought it would have been excellent due to the reviews I have heard.

Onestep - sorry I have no tips to stop you fainting, I thought I was bad with the blood tests and nearly fainting. Perhaps try relaxation tapes or if you can afford have some accupunture or reflexology. The exams are not very nice at first but then you get use to them and just keep in mind why you are doing it. I've not had a HSG but I will be having one next time round apparently and not looking forward to it either.

    Hi JuJu and Onestep -

I'm afraid you just have to learn to put dignity to one side with these things...I find with any pain, if you dig your fingernails into your other hand, it's a distraction!

I didn't find the HSG painful at all - although they recommend I think some co-codamol beforehand just in case. I didn't need anything anyway. And thankfully, they grease up the dildocam.

    +++++++

I did a DIY FSH test today - I passed!

The fainting is likely to be an extreme panic attack. I had these in the run up to my last birth, due to a traumatic time with my middle child and very successfully learned to control them by using a breathing technique. I can't remember the name of the woman who taught me the technique unfortunately though she is very well known apparently for her work in this field, but if you google there are lots of videos showing how to do it.

People who faint or get dizzy when frightened or under stress tend to breathe incorrectly all the time, so their oxygen levels are always not quite right. What you need to learn to do is to breathe differently, so you are not flooding the blood with oxygen. You do this by practising shallow breathing for 10 mins a day. When you find yourself in a stressful situation, you then put your techniques into practise and breathe slowly but shallowly. The mistake most people make when stressed is to take a large deep breath which makes things worse. This technique is better than breathing into a paper bag which is often recommended for an acute panic attack, and if you practise enough ultimately you do it instinctively.

If I remember the name of the woman I saw, I'll come back and edit my post.

Chickpea - my dignity left long time ago afte 3 ivfs I've had my fair share of dildocam. If I do have to have a HSG I will try the fingernails in the palm - ouch!

Need to ring the Drs tomorrow as I have an appointment first thing Friday morning and when I spoke last week they still didn't have my blood test results. Fingers crossed they are in.

Off to see Take That tomorrow night, very excited.
