Good luck on your appointment tomorrow hope you can start straight away I know how frustrating it is when they say wait another month. Don't be nervous it will be fine just take it a step at a time, not a lot else we can do really.

I had my blood taken on Friday - 9 vials!!! Felt a bit wobbly after that lot!

I am going to Ladies Day at Royal Ascot on Thursday - there are 8 girls and we have hired a limo to take us. I am very excited, we go every year with about 30 girls but this year its just us 8. This will be the first time I've had a drink since January (ICSI after that time), I am going to be such a lightweight.

Seeing the nutritionalist was really good - weve got to tweek quite a few things - less red meat, more fish MUST eat breakfast and lunch, and protein at every meal plus as many 'colours' in vegetables is the highlights. I have some supplements to take - a multivitamin inc folic acid, anti oxidants, plus my omegas and vit D and a magnessium supplement. These will hopefully address my deficiencies and altering my diet should help. No more than 2 - 3 cups of coffee a day, and max 4 units of alcohol per week. This was even though I drink organic decaf - apparently there are other stimulants in coffee as well. Main thing is keeping blood sugar stable. She also recommended less carbs at tea time, but could eat more earlier. She said that although my eggs are older, I can improve the environment, ie blood flow to uterus, quality of the lining etc.

It wasnt cheap, but I believe it was worth every penny - she listened to what I said and tailored what I said to a new diet. I have come away with masses of info to read through

It sounds really interesting. I'd love to compare it to what the Zhai clinic said to me. They were down with tea and coffee too, even decaff. Says she, sitting drinking a cup of tea. I'm only allowed 2 units of alcohol a week (which is fine by me though husband is supposed to be following this too and finding it tough). The tea I have to drink twice a day though is RANK. It tastes like liquorice mixed with burnt tyres and vegetable scapings. Bleargh.

2 - 3 cups only juju, if you cant go without at all. Nettle tea anyone? Actually its quite nice - thats the good newss

Now the bad - AMH is virtually non-existent. Oooops. So I have very few follicles, but FSH and Oestrodal are not bad and doc says menopause some way off. Hmmmm. But then again, only look on the bright side of life, da da, da da da da da da!!! (Yes, that was me trying to sing, not the cat trying to mate the broom)

So, where am I? Stuck up a gum tree without a paddle thats wot. Am very confused, Zita says no IVF, Barts were happy with reserve. So, what are we going to do. Well, we are going to continue all of our nutrition stuff, start Manual Lymphatic Drainage and Reflexology asap, Go back and see Barts, and see Zita in September - see, covering all our bases!!! Oh, and start a drug called LHEA, which will improve my egg quality. And Breathe. So, we are still with the original plan of trying in September, but need to sweet talk a willing consultant into Natural IVF, cos stimulation aint going to produce no more eggs, but will cost me £2000 in drugs.

Well, there you are - Im a well cooked chicken, bordering on burnt - desperately trying to masquerade as a lovely plump piece of prime organic!!

So guys, before you think its hopeless - remember Im still trying! Oh, and I am going to have the worlds biggest ever party if I ever manage to lay an egg and incubate it to a chick!

Yeah DHEA, although I like the sound of LHEA - maybe it would be a miracle cure!!!

    I'm here!

Lilo, sorry you haven't had the news you were hoping for. I'll keep everything crossed that come September, you'll be able to find a consultant with a heart to put you through a natural cycle.

I'm back from my planning appointment with good news. They were able to start me on norethisterone today, my drugs are being delivered tomorrow and I start downregging on Thursday, then stimming on 1st July!

The appointment went well - until the nurse bought out the needles and I burst into tears! Oh the shame :o I think it was the reality of what we're about to do, but as I said to the nurse......bigger picture!

After 4 years of heartache, 3 rounds of IVF and 1 loss :A - we are finally expecting our miracle Ki11en - May 2014 :j

And a VERY surprise miracle in March 2017!
