Hope you dont mind me joining this thread, I have been reading with interest for a while but never had the courage to post! I am 34 and OH is 48. TTC for 2 years and 2 months with no luck whatsoever. OH had vasectomy reversal and his swimmers aren't bad considering, I have dilated tubes and high risk of ectopic. Never had a +hpt though. We are now waiting for an appointment for Sheffield Care so getting slightly anxious now

Like I said, I have been lurking for some time and you all sound like lovely people so hoping I can contribute in some way to this thread

    hi all
I've been lurking too, and seeing as C4B got such a lovely welcome I thought I'd chance it too! ;) I'm 40, as is DH. Some male issues, but as men are generally rubbish (sweeping generalisation!) he doesn't know the exact numbers  We have one DD (7) and have been trying for the last 3 years. DH works away, which absolutely does not help, but he comes home when I need him to ;). We use Persona, and OPKs, and BBT. I ovulate every month.. and it's still not happening. I've tried soys, vitex, and am taking omegas and multivits like they are going out of fashion. After a long time thinking I didn't want any intervention, I'm coming to terms with the idea that unless we do have help, it's unlikely that we'll have another baby, and I know I'll regret it if I don't try. So we're waiting for this month, and then I think off to the GP for a referral. It'll probably have to be a private clinic I think. Phew! Sorry for the essay..! :)

welcome onestep, speaking from my own experiences, we had to go private for treatment, but we had all the tests etc we needed beforehand on the nhs, and our clinic were great about using our nhs results to save us money, hope you get some answers soon xxx

I second Runnerduck- if you are referred by your doctor, they will do all they can under the nhs, tests etc and it is when it comes to IVF that you will have to pay - but bear in mind, that they will often want to go straight to IVF with very little other investigations, particularly with your age (I can say that, Im 42!!)

Hope it all goes well, and join in as much as you want to - we all have had different experiences and will help you as much as we can every step of the way.

    Welcome to the thread!

Are there any other lurkers that want to join? We dont bite (well, very hard, anyway!) although feel free to lurk - sometimes that is the help that you need.

Love and light to all - lilo

  • Hi

I do read all your posts and i feel a bit helpless as i have no idea of all the things you all go through. I am just on start of my journey to see if there is anything medically or physical wrong or its just one of those things that isnt happening for me

    welcome C4B and onestep :j

OH had his SA results back on Tuesday and the doctors says its not the best but not the worse either so god knows what that means - i have to take them to the FC for my appointment on Tuesday (EEK!)

does anyone know anything about SA results? cos OH worried that Morphology is 6% that it isnt good
