  • thanks for quick reply qquaver. we are trying to get him in to my docs at the mo so we can see a doctor together and work from there i will ask OH later if he still has the letter and will let you no what it says. His docs seams to think its because when he was around 9 he was kicked between the legs and had to have an operation on his testical which may not have been as successful as could have been. As i mentioned before we are getting married soon and think we not rushing as it can wait(were both 25) till after wedding. just saw this forum and thought its always good to go into things with your eyes open IYNWIM. We just keep saying that when it does happen for us we can tell our baby that they were wanted so so much.

If it were just a bit low, then one can try improving them by eating better, quitting smoking/alcohol etc.

Sounds like he may need an op, or IVF or both.
It's good that you are already getting it sorted, before your wedding:)
    Good luck:j

You need to be in tip top shape to have healthy pregnancy, whichever way one goes about it:)
  • thanks again back to boots then tomorrow. Cant wait to get to docs and find out more need to feel like we are getting somewhere.

Yeah i think he will need an op but he is ok with that. Im not really to sure what IVF involves but if we have to go for that we will and will keep our fingers crossed.

QQ - the AF after IVF can be heavy and quite painful, my last one was.

Bargain - welcome, getting to Drs and having starting the investigations is the best thing. Hopefully OH can increase his sperm count and you won't have to go down the IVF route. At least you are both still very young.

Toni - good luck for scan tomorrow, fingers crossed all is OK and ready for that transfer. Just keep positive and thinking at least you are trying to do something about it.

    Evening Ladies,

I hope you don't mind me posting on here. I have read this thread for a long time and found it a great source of comfort when I was struggling to conceive my DD.

I am posting in response to chickpea's question in regards to if there is anything else she can do, this probably sounds really silly but have you checked the perfume you use is suitable with getting pregnant.

Basically I had been trying for my 2nd child for 2 years, been under the hospital for investigations and was found not to be ovulating, each month I was scanned I had 3/4 good sized foliciles which never amounted to anything. Was not suitable for clomid due to the number of foliciles I produced naturally and was sent away to think about my options ie private IVF as I already had my DS, no chance of this due to the cost.

OH went on line to order me new perfume for my birthday and found research from the USA saying that some of the ingrediants had been linked to miscarriages, I stopped using it and the next cycle I got pregnant. Probably just a coincident but worth thinking about.

hi ladies, just wanted to share my story. TTC for 3.5 years. DH has 2x DS from previous relationship. all tests have come back fine, no problems identifed, started clomid 6 cycles ago, but no BFP as yet, I am taking mulit vit, omega3, folic acid and recently started acupunture, I am working on my diet as am overweight. however the last 2 weeks hae been awful, I was ment to go back to clinic for review to see what next stage is (I have no idea what that is) since then I have been living in a trance as they canceled 24 hrs before appointment. Work actual sent me home as I am not fit for work at the moment (I know this probably sounds extreme but I think that the last min cancellation was just the last straw,) lucky an understanding gp has signed me off for 2 weeks so I can de stress etc. Anyway clinic has given me new date and just wondering what the next step will be? or/and any advice? many thanks

Welcome Becca, I am not sure what the next step is for you as I have only ever had IVF. Hope your new appointment isn't too far away, take the time to de-stress, relax and try to remain positive.

its a constant worry, the appointment is at the end of the week (fingers crossed) however I belive we're not entitled to IVF because hubby has kids which as you can imagine only adds to my stress, £3000 is a lot to find if we need to go private. know i have a long wait until I have the answer but and trying to remain calm and have written down all questions for consultant, if she hasnt decided to take the day off again!
