I gave up on the legs in the air thing too. Now I just stay in bed and make sure that tissues and knickers are to hand!
Well, I've had my first hospital appointment and they found quite a big cyst on one of my ovaries - they thought it was my bladder . Got to wait to hear from the consultant to see what they want to do with it.
Next step is for an HSG after AF next shows up. Does anyone know about HSG? Is it the same as lap & dye?
I feel much happier to be making some progress, its doing the PMA levels the world of good0 -
I deffo have a normal uterus, not retroverted or anything. might just lift my legs up a bit next time. Really though, this is a bloody design flaw, isn't it??! We should have a built in plug or something.0

Jiblets how are you doing, when are you due x
Hi nichart, I've got 13 weeks left (if she comes on time - and it would be helpful if she did!), due on April 20th. Everything's going well really, though in the last week or so I've had to start really taking it easy cos of pelvic pains. It's not as bad as SPD, but I was in proper pain the one day, so it's take it easy or do myself some damage I think - seems to be ok now.
I've accepted that this is all really happening and am starting to buy things and listen to people with advice to offer and stories to share. I've been walking away up till now, as I just wasn't ready to hear it. I think I'll always be an infertile inside. I constantly think about how my bump is affecting other people, and I can't stand too much baby talk, or too many pg people in one place. Even when I'm one of them. This journey forever alters us...Am not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o0 -

The HSG is absolutely fine for some people, and others find it more painful. You're encouraged to take some nurofen beforehand to dull it a little. They put a catheter past your cervix, then flood your uterus with some dye stuff that shows up on an x-ray. If all is well, the dye will go through your tubes and leak out of your ovaries. If there is a problem, the dye will stop at the blockage. I think this is when people hurt, as the dye is trying to push past and can't. I found mine painful, but the pain stopped the instant she stopped putting dye in - I didn't have any problems later on.
You need to be driven home and have the rest of the day off. Wear a pad in your knickers before you go in to avoid the mess...
It's not too bad really, and it's an important test to have. For me it showed that my tube was full up with crap that leaked out and potentially was washing away any embryos that were trying to implant.Am not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o0 -
For me HSG didn't hurt at all. It was like a smear test.
The tubes were fine. I wore a pad, and took myself home by tube.
Have to look somewhere else for the problem...0 -
Thanks for the tips girls. I will make sure DH is around for hand holding and driving purposes!
I suppose there's still a chance that AF will stay away and I wont even need it but seriously, I doubt it, and I'm fine with that too! Although I would like to get a BFP some day I've resigned myself to the fact that I've got a bit of a journey to go on to get there...thats got to be good hasnt it? It seems like the acupuncture is working well anyway I've never felt so balanced, emotionally stable and in touch with my body. Long may it continue (the feeling, not my journey!)

Hi, not a poster on this thread but an occasional browser. Murray when I had HSG I never felt a thing and was back at work an hour later. My BFF went for an HSG 2 years later and I said 'Oh you'll be fine, nothing to worry about!' and she took the rest of the day off with bad cramps. It's a personal thing, as all this TTC stuff is I suppose. Take a couple of painkillers before hand and be prepared to be uncomfortable. If your not then it's a bonus. At the end of the day,I bet labour is worse and we're all prepared to go through that0

I had HyCoSy, which is very similar, and I was driving myself. Doctors never suggested that I would need someone to drive me. Mine showed one tube not draining and a cyst on the other side. So I was advised to have laporoscopy to check the tube and drain the cyst.Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0

Morning, thanks for all your positive comments - yes I am being retested this month - hopefully will be a blip, if not will deal with it. Liver function also slightly abnormal, but we are ignoring that, too!!!!
Still, onwards and upwards - glad you are all well ladies, and glad to hear an update, jibs XXXLive on £4000 a year again for 20110
