I booked my first acupuncture appointment for next week. Unfortunately, the latest time I could get is 4pm, so will have to leave work early or try and work from home that day. The lady I wanted to see doesn't do any evening appointments, so that was a bit disappointing. I was offered to see someone else, but as this one has been train by (or with?) Zita West, I decided to stick with her. The website of the clinic says it is £30 for the first appointment, and £35 for the next ones, so it doesn't sound bad at all - but it all might be out of date.

We had a chat with OH this weekend, and I think I am going to take an easy solution - get another IVF cycle this spring (if NHS is stil funding), and if that works, all falls very well for us with the regards to our plans (how long are we staying where we are and changing jobs). If it doesn't, then I know I can change the job without feeling guilty in the new place about doing IVF in the first few months after starting and leaving the job. But then - knowing me, I will be feeling guilty and upset whichever way it works out. I still have a phone call arranged with the recruiter in few weeks time, so will see what he can offer.

    Hi xx
Will read back in a bit, I'm still waiting to do a frozen ivf, just had wrist op delayed another week so till that is done and wrist healed can't do frozen, has anyone here fallen or known anyone to fall with a frozen?

I'm starting accunpuncture in 4 weeks, I use a local chinese herbalist, £35 a session and am also going to start up on their herbs again to prepare for ivf x

feeling very down with it all, as I should have done this in Autumn but with foot op and now wrist op everything had to be done before ivf.

i have decided once we have used our frozen reserve( we have 7) at Guys and st thomas's i'm changing hospitals and consultants before i do another ivf, i'm looking at the Bridge cliinic in London.

Really hope this is our year ladies xxx

Nice to see you back on the board Toni and good luck for next IVF.

Gin, good luck with the acupunture, I find it helps with everything.

I read in the paper last week that the best time to do IVF is in the spring as there is a higher chance of it working (accordingly to a study in Canada). I don't know if its true but just thought I'd share that bit of info especially as Canada has very similar weather.

Waiting for AF to arrive then I can start round three of IVF (private now). Bit concerned as OH still hasn't got a job and its been 3 months now, he is trying but its bad out there. At least we have our savings for one go but after that who knows.

OK. Can I ask you all a personal question? Am I the only one for who pillow-under-the-bum after BD just doesn't help to keep it all in? It just all dribbles out again! So frustrating. I feel like I need to spend the night hanging upside down like a bat.

The clinic haven't said anything yet so not sure if there will be any changes though they did mention putting me on a different stim drug to see if I respond better. Once AF comes and I call them I am sure they will make an appt to discuss these things - well I hope so anyway!

Hi just popping by and couldn't resist answering this one...pillow isn't enough, I think you need to be 'cycling' too!! Looks ridiculous, but worth a go. Also it's a bit gross, but a tampon post-DTD might keep everything inside?

Thanks chickpea. I'm so glad it's not just me and that I'm not some anatomical freak. I'm a tidy-freak virgo too so can't bear the feeling and have to jump up and sort it out in the bathroom, which kind of defeats the object...
