  • Chins up everyone, PMA is the way to go girlies, heres to a very happy 2011 and loads and loads of BFPs.

    Those of you really long haulers will remember 2 years ago when I was diagnosed with Cervical Cancer on New Years Eve - well my friend is awaiting an emergency colposcopy in a weeks time - she has polyps which are abnormal. I shall be lighting a candle for her shortly, as well as for my 2 miscarriages and most importantly my mum, who I miss more that I can say. I know it is hard, but believe me it is worse to think you have all hope taken away. I survived - 2 years clear now, and god willing will have another bundle of joy. Keep believing peeps, it will happen. XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

    Love and light to you all, and heres to supporting and loving (oooo-er) each other in 2011.

    PS am somewhere in the 2 WW and Baby (should I have made one) will be coming out pickled - oops havent stayed off the wagon this christmas XXXXXXXXXX

    Happy New Year everyone, may 2011 be a good one for us all! Sorry to the festive BFNs...ho ho ho!

    +++++

    From a TTC point of view..What a weird month this is....it has just imploded. I was due to OV on 27th Dec (CD16) - but got an early OPK+ve on a CB OPK on CD14. So DTD that day and the next (Christmas Day and Boxing Day).

    Then on the night of CD16-17, just as 2ww is beginning - the bleeding starts. It's been on and off ever since. Never as heavy as a period, but not as light as say implantation bleeding. What in the name of all that's holy is it? Why would I start bleeding on CD16?

    CD22 today, still bleeding. Strong +ve OPK this am, but -ve HPT and just a faint +ve OPK tonight.

    I think it's a no - but have no idea how I'll ID CD1 if this holds up..!
  • Happy New Year everyone - hope you all relaxed and had a good celebration to welcome in 2011 !

    VK - I have been going for scans every month for 3 months now and so far I haven't needed to tell my employers. I have managed to get scan times that fit around my work hours so an 8am start for example. I guess for you it will depend on how close you live to the hospital - could you perhaps fit it in your lunch hour ? If not and you feel you need to tell your employer then you shouldn't worry - I am sure that they would be flexible towards you. Good luck.

    Chickpea - that is very strange - if its more than spotting and has been constant perhaps you should contact your consultant ?

    Well I will be starting my third and last month of the FSH injections this week and I have to say that I am pleased to stop after this and have a break for a while.

    xx

    I think I'm calling CD1. Not sure if I should say yesterday or today...prob. today.

    I was so optimistic this month, just because it was different. I did everything 'right' in terms of low GI and no booze - right over Christmas. Why bother? I'm so depressed now.

    +++++

    And Sis-in-law has just gone into labour. Great.

    ((Hugs)) Chickpea. Has AF definately arrived? Has your neice or nephew arrived too? It's cruel timing but I hope you can be happy that you'll get your baby fix and some good practice in for when its your turn :o

    I'm about CD25 and AF seems to be making an early appearance - dont think I'll be getting to CD31 as I have been for the past few cycles.

    I've got my first hospital appointment next week and I was wondering how long the appointment is likely to be? I could ring and ask but you're such a helpful bunch I thought I'd try you first. I'd assumed the first appointment would be more of a 'meet your consultant' and fact finding session but I have heard of all day sessions with tests galore too so dont really know what to expect!

    hey murray, my first appointment was maybe 2hours or so
    i went filled out forms, got blood pressure, bloods, height and weight and internal scan, then we met doctor who kind of went through past, what you have been through, any pg before, is af regular, u in stable relationship, pretty routine then we got sent for more bloods and old to come back for results. my hubby also went to my appt and he got blood, height, weight etc and was told to hand in an extra s/a

    Hi Murray - what she said! I also had an internal 'dildo cam', which came as a shock.
