Trying to be positive as have first round of ICSI drugs being delivered next Thursday, but having a rotten day ....we planned cheese, wine and DVD for tonight which turned into a couple of pints at lunch time, meal in pub, home for a row cos DH doesn't want cheese and wine ....now he's snoring on sofa (I went to bed for an hour for a cry and cool off, but hunger got the better of me!) and I'm on here drinking warm mulled wine on my own.

Hope we get it sorted before tomorrow .......

Evening all. Hope everyones had a lovely Christmas.

Well, I held off testing till yesterday morning. Crept into the bathroom at an ungodly hour, test in hand, to find AF waiting for me  You've got to laugh.

2 hours later, my dad is rushed into hospital and i'm 400 miles away :( He was released this evening - no idea what it was but he's fine. We didn't tell the in laws as didn't want to ruin their day as well but it was quite a fraught day with not knowing what was happening.

So we arrive home this evening to find the boiler frozen and the house at 5 degrees. Not a major issue - unfroze the condensing pipe, lit the open fire and settled down with a glass of wine to watch one born at Christmas. Suddenly there's a noise like the roof is coming in and a pipes burst in the attic! All hell lets loose as we didn't realise what it was at first.

We now have our bedroom, one of the spare bedrooms and the bathroom flooded. Water got into the electrics and the bedroom ceiling is bowed. Emergency plumber comes out (£200 for half an hour) and caps it saying it'll be OK now till morning when he can come back and fix it. Half an hour after he's gone and the same noise again. The hot water pipes gone this time. So now we've a flooded house, no water and it's a bit chilly.

I'm a bottle of wine in and past caring now tho TBH :rotfl:

    Merry Christmas everyone!

  • Hi all,
Hope you had a great xmas, OH was very sweet and treated me this year to a spa day. Think its to help me chill out as FSH as been quite a headache for both of us, lol.

Good luck VK - admire that you have managed to hold off testing for this long !

Happy New Year everyone, hope 2011 will be our year :D
