I've just been out to panic shop a turkey! We're supposed to be at inlaws for Christmas, but it's 50/50 at the mo!
Oh well, it's in the freezer along with all the trimmings, at worst, it'll be a lovely Sunday roast.

CD10 today - I wish I could say this month was going fast, but it's dragging along for some reason. I suppose I should be glad, from the point of view that I'm off work until 6 Jan!
Diet's going OK, but the few squares of dark chocolate that I'm supposed to have as an occasional treat keep multiplying. And I've just paid a visit to Thorntons..0 -
VK - hope it isn't AF
chickpea - hope the clomid is working
gin - sorry about the BFN, I knew my IVF hadn't worked before I started to bleed which happened before test day anyway, I just woke up one day feeling like it hadn't worked and knowing deep down. It's still disappointing to get a BFN though, even when I knew I still felt upset by it. I hope you and your partner are taking care of each other.
I'm CD24 now but our TTC efforts have been half hearted and generally unsuccessful. I just don't feel ready to throw myself into it at the moment as I'm still feeling really down about the failed IVF. I am hoping that in the new year things will start to look a bit brighter and I'll start to feel a bit more positive so our efforts can go ahead and we can both start taking good care of ourselves in the hope of stronger ovulation for me and better sperm for him. I do feel a bit in limbo at the moment and don't think I'll fully move forwards from the failed cycle until we have our appointment to discuss what went wrong on 27th January.
It takes time to get over the IVF so give yourself that time to clear your head. Don't have too much hope on answers why the cycle failed as the Drs are very vague on this because they don't actually know themselves. I have had 2 failed ICSIs now and no reasons why, its just the way it is. Keep your chin up and look forward to a year where it will happen, hopefully for all of us.BEST WIN LAST YEAR - MULBERRY HANDBAGSENDING STICKY VIBES TO THOSE WHO NEED THEM0 -
Sorry for the bad news Gin
chickpea - I don't suppose you have a cough? Because dark chocolate is good for coughs so in those circumstances it is definitely necessary to eat lots of it.
I have everyone at mine for xmas this year. We have spent a small fortune on food, and now I have the family calling up worried they won't make it here cos of the snow!
DH was originally really reluctant to have tests done and I do think it's a man thing. He had convinced himself that the problem was with him rather than me. I have been pregnant before and even though that was 10 years ago (I tried to tell him a lot can happen in 10 years but that didn't help) he seemed to think there'd be nothing wrong with me. Took almost a couple of years until I could get him to go and his results were fine and he wishes we'd gone and started things moving ages ago. I feel like we wasted a year :-(0 -

Thanks. I don't expect a reason, the doctor already said when I got my BFN that he doesn't understand as everything was perfect but I think once I've had that appointment it will at least allow me to see that cycle as over and I'm hoping I'll be able to move on. I think I need a fresh year and a fresh new start.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member #398 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts :T

Hi everyone,
Chickpea, I had the same tugging when I was on Clomid and get it throughout my cycle on FSH. Are they monitoring you to check that you ovulate ? The tugging is a good sign !
Lambanana and jujugaboo, just want to send you big hugs and positive thoughts for next year
must_try_harder, my OH was the same - he thought the issues would be with him and even now all the tests for him are fine he still tells people that the problems are with him!
I think that I am in the 2ww now. Had last scan on Monday and nurse confirmed that I probably ov'd over weekend. They also found a second large follicle measuring 13mm but think it won't grow anymore - I hope it does ;-) Have been very chilled out this month, having the occassional glass of wine, longing for a cigarette(!) and eating lots and lots of lovely food (have fallen off the GI diet bandwagon unfortunately, temporarily of course). I'm on CD19 now - usually have 30 day cycle but last month was 34 days so anticipating the same this month. However, bbs are already killing me ! Probably a side affect of the FSH.

Hi P-mouse - I hateit when that happens..! Fingers crossed AF stays away and BFN turns into something better..

I'm on CD11, -ve OPK, but we'll prob. DTD anyway, as I expect to OV on CD16, so it might be technically possible..
After today tho, I aim to hold off until CD14 (Christmas Day) - trying to conserve DH's supplies this month, to see if that might make a difference - worth a go.

Two encouraging stories:
One woman I know vaguely has a new baby. I saw her with her toddler and the baby the other day (and felt jealous!) Well it turns out that the toddler was conceived with IVF after 6 yrs TTC - and then she conceived the baby spontaneously 6 months later AND she's 43!

A friend of mine's SIL TTC for 8 years, nothing. She had IVF, it worked. Two years later she had IVF again and had twins. One year later she conceived spontaneously - aged 40. There IS hope, when it seems there is none..!0
