thanks chickpea, it seems i eat what you mentioned already my only thing i would need to watch is pasta, love it! but everything else i seem to do already.
oh well fingers crossed i can get a wee cheapie book and see what it says
You can have brown pasta (which I don't love) but basmati rice instead of normal rice is just lovely...:)Am not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o0 -
It is difficult in weather like this, when all I want is carby, stodgy niceness!
Oh well - homemade lentil soup with wholgrain bread for lunch with a yoghurt will do. Got salmon with beetroot and grilled tomatoes tonight. Having to make do with slightly odd combination, because I can't face dragging myself to the supermarket in a foot of snow!

I have the weirdest 'pulling' sensation in my left ovary, like there were two opposing magnets in there or something. Hard to decribe. Not painful, but a strong sensation. I hope it is the Clomid working some magic!

I'm off work today, with time on my hands. I've mopped the manky kitchen floor, and cleared out my email intray.
A chance to see how much exactly I've spent over the last year in fertility related internet shopping. A lot. Everything from herbal remedies, books, OV/HCG tests, fertility gemstones, hypnotherapy CDs, weird and wonderful supplements..the list goes on. I don't know the total, but it must be c. £1000, certainly once I factor in the acupuncture and foods.
And nothing's worked!!0 -
Chickpea

Hiya girls, sorry have been missing in action, and Missed Gins news. I am so sorry gin, but I do know what you mean about 'knowing' that it hasnt worked and being ready for it, but there is a little bit of you that hopes you are wrong. Big hugs to you and OH, have a brilliant christmas and put it all to the back of your mind for a while and concentrate on the two of you. You will know when you are ready to go again. XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Low GI diet is definately the way to go girls, I go preg on that too (although sadly miscarried) so I think I might try that after Xmas too. My 3 day blood test show some good results for FSH etc, which I am pleased about - but an abnormal prolactin count, which is not good. Not too far over, and it is going to be repeated to check. But wont get preg with that, will I??

On the plus-side Lilo, I'm pretty sure high prolactin is treatable? I hope so. Good news on the FSH score tho. I was so relieved when I was told that too, I was picturing an ovarian wasteland.

Lilo, thanks for the kind words. OH had flu over weekend and I am just hoping I would miss it. He was feeling really bad, and had high fever on Saturday night. He is all better now and is going to work tomorrow. We also paid a visit to our GP surgery to see a nurse, as he has an inflamation on one of his fingers that seemed to be getting worse over weekend. So, he got antibiotics for that as well.
We then paid a visit to Currys and got a Christmas present for me - a netbook, so I can sort out my stuff from work laptop to this one and start updating my CV. It will take a bit getting used to the small size, but it is great. I am just coping files over now, and decided that finally it is time to sort out our wedding photos and make an album. So, got all of those photos over to this netbook too, will have something to do when visiting in laws. That is, if we will manage to fly there!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
hey, guys got a funny feeling af may be coming a visit got a pounding headache i normally get one a day or 2 before, so kinda expecting it now if that makes sense. though it could still be a bug as hubby has been very headachy and not well and im starting to go sme as him.
im hoping for a bug but highly doubt it
oh well roll on next year for trying!:A VK :A0 -
VK - hope it isn't AF
chickpea - hope the clomid is working
gin - sorry about the BFN, I knew my IVF hadn't worked before I started to bleed which happened before test day anyway, I just woke up one day feeling like it hadn't worked and knowing deep down. It's still disappointing to get a BFN though, even when I knew I still felt upset by it. I hope you and your partner are taking care of each other.
I'm CD24 now but our TTC efforts have been half hearted and generally unsuccessful. I just don't feel ready to throw myself into it at the moment as I'm still feeling really down about the failed IVF. I am hoping that in the new year things will start to look a bit brighter and I'll start to feel a bit more positive so our efforts can go ahead and we can both start taking good care of ourselves in the hope of stronger ovulation for me and better sperm for him. I do feel a bit in limbo at the moment and don't think I'll fully move forwards from the failed cycle until we have our appointment to discuss what went wrong on 27th January.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member #398 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts :T
