    i agree lots of bfps!

dunno why but been soooooooooooooo overly emotional today - not been like this in a while.
not in a bad way just weepy if that makes sense. watching all the one born at christmas programmes and they are making me emotional. decided to take a break from it make some soup and then put tv on and cheaper by the dozen was on and the girl at end was having her bubba, so decided just to finish off my one born at xmas now. lol
just sitting chilling thinking hopefully this time next year it will be me dh and little bubba!

quick q - me and dh are pretty sure ill be getting put on clomid at next appointment - how does it work, do you take it from first day of period or what happens - just wondering what to expect, and try and work out hosp appoint according when af due- does that make sense?

Grrrrrrrr. Got home yesterday to a letter from the hospital saying they've moved my lap & dye from 14th Feb to 28th March as "the consultant who was booked is no longer available"

Ahh well, it gives me longer to settle into my new job I guess and pushes back the dates for when we might fall PG. I might actually get some maternity at this rate :rotfl:

After 4 years of heartache, 3 rounds of IVF and 1 loss :A - we are finally expecting our miracle Ki11en - May 2014 :j

And a VERY surprise miracle in March 2017!

I took clomid for 3 months and you start it on the second day of your period and take it for 5 days (your consultant will explain). There are different doses too, some people start on 50 others on 100 - I was on 100. Normally they would want to do ultrasound scans for at least your first month to check that you are ovulating.

Be prepared with this stuff, make sure that OH knows that it will affect your emotions. Its different for each person, some people have no side effects and others are moody, others are very very moody !! I was definately moody (and progressively worse over the months) but I found from month 2 that it completely affected my sex drive (I literally couldn't bd !) - this is apparently a less well known side affect but its why my consultant didn't prescribe any more clomid for me and instead moved me on to the FSH.

I know women that have fallen pg on this and others like me that didn't. Good luck with it VK and well done for losing the weight.

    xx
  • So for 2011 my resolution is positive thinking :D

OH and I have agreed to do the last month of FSH and then we know consultant won't offer us IVF or IUI until 2012 - we did plan to go private but that would affect our chances to have treatment on NHS so we have decided that 2011 will be a chilled out year. We will continue to try but will take a chilled out approach and no more medicine from February :j We also both want (and need) to lose weight.

I may try some things though to help such as accupunture and may even try some of that conceive plus because I am sure that my body is hostile to OH's Mr Men ! I may even try a fertility monitor but I kind of want to stop charting everything so might wait.

The only real problem with this approach is that I will be 35 in 2012 and that could have a negative affect on our IVF chances, but then what will be will be - perhaps we were meant to adopt our little ones rather than make them ourselves ;)

Heres to 2011 ladies, may it be full of 'positive' things

Oh, I know how you feel on this one! I'm surrounded by pregnant ladies at work (4 within 20 steps of where I sit:eek:). Took each new announcement and handing round of the ultrasound pretty stoicaly I thought. Was ok that one school mate has just had a new baby & that the pics were all over my feed on facebook. I was coping still. That was until yesterday when I was facebooked by another (closer) schoolmate (i.e. of the same advancing years as I) to say that she was 19 weeks gone
I blubbed all evening and all night. I know I will never have a child of my own so I'm not entirely sure why this was the last straw that caused the melt down :o
