To be honest, I am still dizzy sitting here at my desk now, 45 min later. Have to be careful around the corners today! So, this is just like when I was on Clomid - it just took a while to show up, I now had 18 injections of Buserelin, and apart from 2 migraines I could walk in straight lines!
Good luck on your scan:)I got my price list for my next ICSI and just like I thought about £5,000:eek:. Why does it have to be so expensive!
Oh well, we have treated ourselves to a weeks holiday in Egypt next week for a little bit of R&R and sun. I think we both deserve it.
Hope you have a great time in Egypt, whereabouts are you going?:)0 -
Good luck for your scan. Sorry you are having side effects, I was one of the lucky ones as it doesn't really effect me. There are more side effects with the stimm drugs so hopefully you won't suffer to much.

Don't forget that you can "shop around" for your drugs.
I saved over £700 on boots price,a whopping £1000 (and something) on local pharmacy and well over £300 on my clinics price !!!

[Does the £5,000 include medications?

The £5K does include medications, but the price can vary on them depending on how much you need, I am expected to pay more as I need the highest dose they give (typical). I do intend to shop around as I know Asda do cheap IVF drugs, just all bit of a pain but if I can save it will be worth it.
I am going to Sharm el Sheik, I went last year too and have also been to Cario and Luxor, so you can say I like Egypt. Only going as its not too far, cheap enough and guaranteed sunshine.BEST WIN LAST YEAR - MULBERRY HANDBAGSENDING STICKY VIBES TO THOSE WHO NEED THEM0 -

Gin, those side effects sound nasty, I hope you geel better soon!
Hiya girls!
Well I have had a really good appointment at St Barts - really positive! We are booked to do a trial embryo transfer on 3rd December, along with ultrasound and sperm tests. Wow that seems really quick, they are not at all fazed by the fact that I have had a tracelectomy at all, and if the trial trfr fails, they will do a hysteroscopy and stretch the stitch! I am soooooo shocked. They really seem to know what the are doing, and are really nice and friendly. And best of all, at this stage, we havent paid anything! We transfer to private to do IVF, but all these tests are on NHS - it worked!! The only down side, and I am blocking this out as I am not bursting my bubble, is that my chances of falling pregnant naturally are low, and IVF chances are 3 - 5%! So a lot of money for a slim chance, but ............ !!!!
Anyhow, hope all are well, speak soon and Lots and Lots of babydust sprinkling to you all

I'm 32, Hubby 35, been ttc for 9 years, embarking on 7th IVF in January, no success so far, but we have immune issues.
Sory to see so many of us still here.

I'm sure choosing St Bart would up your chances quite a bit:)
Lisa, good luck on your IVF:)0 -
Good luck Lisa and Lilo with your treatment(s)!
It's a long haul, but you've got to do what you've got to do, I guess.

I'm on CD5, 4th day on Clomid. I can't say I've had side effects as such - if anything, I'm feeling better than usual, I guess it's the happy hormone oestrogen at work. I do feel cramps in my ovaries (I'm guessing) if I laugh when I'm standing (and then I can't walk, which is what happened when I had a giggling fit in the carpark at work last night for no good reason at all).

Everyone's putting pressure on me to drink! I used to be a lot more fun since TTC kicked in....but I'm going to try to resist the pressure as much as I can.
I have been sober for 9 days now..!0 -
A friend of mine had a baby boy yesterday...I'm welling up...!

And for once I'm not hideously jealous - she had IVF, which worked first time, but a long haul before that. She she's earned her stripes..
My campaign goes on..
Good luck everyone.0
