  • Juicygirl, I had acupuncture for a long while - it is very relaxing and really helps with the stress. I also found that it regulated my cycle, and got rid of my monthly migraines. Worthwhile I would say - I only dont do it now cos I cant have needles anywhere from the waist downwards anymore!

    Hi Chickpea,

Just wondered how you are finding the acupuncture? I'm going for a consulation this week whilst I wait to appt to see gynacologist (just found out I'm not ovulating). Feel I need to do something, even if it's jsut to reduce my stress.

Well, it does help with reducing stress. I like it, it helps that the guy I get it from, Peter, is very lovely. Prickly Pete I call him.

It's expensive though. I had a lot of sessions close together, and now I'm getting a few more spread out.

From what I've googled, the best time of month for it is post-OV pre-implantation.

Has it worked? Well, not yet - I'm going to give it 6 months.

I don't care if it's the placebo effect - and old effect is good enough for me. If you have OV probs, Clomid should be just the job, no?

CD20, testing in 10 days. Gosh this month is going fast!

Stop scaring me! At least I am planing to take my all remaining annual leave in December (18 days in total), so I would be home 'enjoying the wind' and not in the office.

When did your clinic advised you to test?

This time my clinic require me to go for a blood test on Friday as its more accurate. I am going test tomorrow though as I can't wait anymore but will still go for the blood test whatever the result is.

Its good that you are taking the full time off its worth it I think. Last time I only took a week off but took it as leave. This time I have taken the full 2 weeks but got a sick note from the clinic.

I recommend the acupunture to anyone, I find it really relaxing and its suppose to help with the IVF/ICSI/.

I got all excited when I saw your post JuJu - I assumed you'd cracked early! Well done on waiting. And best of luck when you do it!

I'm starting to doubt what cycle day I'm on. I thought 20, but I'm having a rethink. The trouble is, AF was a bit off this month - one day of real blood, then 2 days of zilch, then the full flow kicked in. I counted the first day of blood as CD1, but I think it was premature. I think CD 1 was about 2-3 days later. So really I'm CD17ish today. So testing in 13 days.

That adds up - I have absolutely beautiful EWCM today (no, really!). It's crystal clear and has the consistency of honey. I could be an EWCM model for a book! If anyone knows someone looking for someone to fill that role, do let me know...

So more SWI tonight - husband was hoping for a break. Thank goodness he lives up to the nickname he gives himself in the meantime ('the milkman' - because he always delivers!)

Thanks Lilo and Chickpea! Will def go for the first vist and take it from there.

Not been put on Clomid yet - still waiting to see a specialist, my GP just referred me straight off when test said no ov.

Think stress in the issue so am going to deal with it while I wait. That said I do have a quite a few symptoms of PCOS so we'll see.

Well, I'm going to have to give him a night off tonight, can't go on like this forever...! He's started to complain about being the UK's most prolific sperm donor.

I have the most massive spot on my chin. Tempted to stay indoors with curtains drawn.

    Have a good day!

I am sitting here rocking with laughter!

That was the one thing that really suffered with us when we were at that stage, but DH is no 18 yo stud (43) so we had to be realistic with all the pressure to perform on cue! Yes I cried a few times, thought he didn't find me attractive etc, but its perfectly normal.

We only really got our spark back when we went through IVF, as then it was purely because we both wanted to. (Although producing the sample was a nightmare, you'd have thought that he had had the hardest part ever, never mind me full of injections and hormones etc Extremely bloated, waiting for my eggs to be whipped out!)

One tip is to make sure that you are intimate at other times too so he doesn't end up feeling like he's only good for it when you need to try and make that BFP.

    Good luck! (Back to lurking)
Right now I'm having amnesia and deja- vu at the same time. I think I've forgotten this before

    No surprises BFN.

Finally dragged myself out of bed and going out for lunch now anything to take my mind off it. I will still go for my blood test on Friday but I think there is no hope really.
