Hi Ladies, can any of you recommend acupunture for ttc? I've heard it's good but wondered if anyone whose having/had it previously feels it was worthwhile? I've been in touch with a holistic centre that offers this and they say it's best to go every week as it can take time to balance your cycle but I'm reluctant to have it done if the general feeling is that it's no good. I suffer from PCOS and at the moment am not feeling particularly stressed about ttc even though it's been 2 years. I'm also taking Metformin at the moment to help my cycles so any advice greatly appreciated!2013: Interflora Vouchers, Christmas Decorations, NNUK goody bag, thermos flask, macwet gloves0

Me too, one can't get around that I suppose:o
the other days (ok, 5 of them), I could only feel the bit of pain of the needle going in, but once it is in, I would slowly push the plunger and it never hurt. I probably just was too close to the previous injection yesterday or something.Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -

I have had acupunture both times now with my ICSI and though I have not become pregnant I find it really helpful with stress levels. A friend also had acupunture to help regulate her cycle and reduce PMS and it helped alot.
I didn't bother going for my blood test today as AF came this morning. I spoke to the clinic and I can have another go in January but this time we have to pay - ouch!BEST WIN LAST YEAR - MULBERRY HANDBAGSENDING STICKY VIBES TO THOSE WHO NEED THEM0 -
Huge hugs, juju, be kind to yourselves and give you both time to grieve. I am thinking of you XXXXXXXXXX You never know, I may be joining you in January (fingers very very crossed!)
Gin and QQ, I found that I felt the stuff going in whatever I did. Do you pinch the skin, inject, release the skin and then pull out, which is how I was shown, or a different way - although different drugs do hurt in different ways anyway, I think. Good that it is going well for you both.
Hi, pink peach - welcome to the party! We are all completely mad...... I have had acupuncture and found that it regulated my cycles really well, and I felt much more relaxed and less stress. Cured my Migraines at the time as well. You need to go probably weekly for roughly 6 weeks, and then maintenance monthly, or more often to cope with IVF etc. Reflexology is another good one, but doesnt always work for everyone. HTH, please join us and contribute we need more inmates! (oh that sounds awful, that I am inflicting our infertility on everyone, but you know what I mean)
Have a good weekend all. LiloLive on £4000 a year again for 20110 -
Thanks to those who put my mind at ease about my acupuncturists comments
You guys are great! I am just sick of speculating, hope the gyno appt comes in soon.
Pinkpeach, I have just started acupuncture this week, will report back once I've had a few sessions xxx0 -

Glad you get another go so soon:)
How much would it cost?liloandstitch wrote: »Do you pinch the skin, inject, release the skin and then pull out,0 -
It always hurt in my case, I don't push it slowly though:(
My way with the needles was to ice it first, make sure the liquid was at room temperature when it goes in, put the needle in really quickly (like a dart) then push the plunger in slowly, making sure to hold the needle really still while doing it.
My hubby always did my injections. That may have helped, because I couldn't figure out how to hold everything in the right position!Am not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o0
