    My way with the needles was to ice it first, make sure the liquid was at room temperature when it goes in, put the needle in really quickly (like a dart) then push the plunger in slowly, making sure to hold the needle really still while doing it.
    My hubby always did my injections. That may have helped, because I couldn't figure out how to hold everything in the right position!
    Holding the needle still would be hard by myself...
    Never tried ice, same principle as scratching I suppose:cool:

    How are you Jiblets? You haven't updated your blog for a month:o

    Hi Ladies

    Sorry I haven't been around. I find the cycle goes quicker if I'm not thinking about it all the time and so it helps to keep off here as much as I can. I still pop on every now and again though to keep up with how you're all doing and hoping for good news!

    I'm pretending to be patient, but man the 2ww is tough going. I have no hopes in particular this month - there's always a faint chance, but no reason to believe this month will be any different from the preceding 14..

    I feel your pain! 2ww is just coming to an end for me - cd25 today. I'm also in month 15 of TTC, does that make us TTC buddies?! :D

    I know I deserve a slapped wrist for ss'ing but this month I've had so many new symptoms its been hard not to! For the past few days, I have a really heavy/stretching feeling in my lower abdomen which I thought was promising and even DH (who thinks I get myself far too stressed about TTC and discourages me at every opportunity) has asked me twice if I might be pregnant. Once when the garage made me cry for not fixing my car properly and charging me mega bucks for a service (the car, not me!!) and he's also noticed that my skin feels different...smoother (I think its greasier :(). Perhaps I'm getting myself so wound up that I'm going to give myself a phantom pregnancy...:eek: Do humans even get them? I know of a horse and dog that did but never a human. Perhaps I can be the first!

    Juju...sorry AF caught up with you :( but I'm glad you can try again soon.

    Also, I'm impressed with you brave ladies injecting yourselves. I have such an aversion to needles, I'd be hopeless! I guess you just have to keep your eyes on the prize.

    Good luck to all!

    M xx
  • Hiya murray - yes humans have phantom pregnancies - my mum had one to 5 months. Had it all - symptoms, swollen tummy etc - just no babe. But then my mum (god bless her soul) always did have to be awkward!

    Glad you get another go so soon:)
    How much would it cost?

    Not sure on the costs yet but will be around £5,000 I think, as I need more stim drugs then most people I assuming that part will be quite costly.

    Hi - been away for a few days, hence no posts.

    Had a bit of a dirty weekend - but only because I skipped a bath on Saturday..! Hey - it was the weekend, I'm allowed. Had way too much Italian food, and way too much vino, unforgiveable, I know. (We weren't in Italy - just Norwich, but if you ignored the rain it was delightful!)

    +++++++++

    Pinkpeach - I had acupuncture for the first time in 2008, after 3 years fruitlessly TTC #1. I got pg 2 weeks later! It might have been coincidence though!

    I had it again this April for a few weeks, after 8 months fruitlessly TTC#2. Nothing, I gave up, wasn't enjoying it.

    I started again last month, have had a few sessions, aim to carry on once a week til Christmas. Too soon to call. It is relaxing, overall, but whatever works for you. Worth trying, but it's probably not going to be a miracle 'cure'.

    +++++++++

    Juju - well, your instincts were right. What a shame. Hope your finances are ready for the next hit in January - good luck..!

    +++++++++

    Lilo - 18 Nov - that's really soon - progress at last, sort of! Lots of luck.

    +++++++++

    I'm on CD25, I think. About 8DPO. AF due in c. 5 days...Testing on Mon 15 nov, if AF doesn't strike first.

    Jury's out this month. Spots are a bad sign, and have had AF cramps. Nothing to do but wait some more.

    I want a line! No - make that two!

    Good luck everyone.
