Well done Winky, that is great news!

Maybe there is something in the air re messed up cycles - Mine have been 21, then 24 then 25 (taking evening primrose to sort them out which appeared to be working, post op) and then this one - got to 28 days, then had a 'slow leak' for the next 2 weeks, and AF finally arrived properly yesterday, 41 days after last period. But at least it was a proper one, so I am hoping that I am back to normal now! (yeah right). Still, my MRI is in a fortnight and my colposcopy is just after that, so after my next one it is all systems go, and hopefully back on a normal routine. Thank god for that! I just need to solve the chronic tiredness now and them Im good to go

Have a good day everyone, enjoy your scan FE.

Dizziblond, you say the bullying is off MSE, I take it this is from someone who has read your posts on MSE but is bullying you off the site? Please report it to the people at MSE, I am sure they would be removed from the site. I do understand though, that you prob dont want to post anything that is then going to be used in 'real life' What about changing your user name? would that help? Good luck in whatever you decide!

Hello all, just checking in to see how you are all doing.

Winky, that is really great news! Wow, sounds good to me, I'm jealous - well done and fingers crossed for you that both will be sticky.

Ginvzt, I'm also using the CBFM. I was one of the lucky ones who got the monitor and sticks for silly money in Tesco a while ago, but have now bought extras on Amazon. I'm not finding it too arduous to use and always feel reassured when it changes to high and then to a peak! I will certainly persevere with it and just keep hoping my time will come. As you say, you'll easily sell it on again, so I would say go for it and try. You just never know and anything is worth a go I feel!

I have been feeling so, so low this week and just cannot bear thinking about TTC any more. Everybody on the TV and RL seems to be getting pregnant and I'm not doing well at hiding my distress at the moment, I am also feeling like it will never be my time now and that is making me feel so worthless and empty, Niagra Falls round here at the moment!

Sorry to bring the thread so pathetically low and hope you all have a lovely weekend whatever you are doing, xx
  • Winky that is great Hun! Had to pop back in to get an update. Wishing you all the best for ET!

MadMac - big (((HUGS))) Hun, sorry you are feeling so down at the moment.

Dizzi - it makes me so cross that some people can be so nasty. Hope that you can find the stregth to come back - maybe as Lilo suggested, with a different name?

Yes Winky - it is amazing! I feel so fortunate to be finally where we are - having dreamed of being here for so long, and getting so close before, most of the time it still doesn't seem real and I can't quite believe that there's really a baby growing inside me - but seeing it on the screen was incredible! It was not being cooperative AT ALL today though...the sonographer couldn't get a clear picture, then it wouldn't stay still, then it curled up into a tight little ball so they couldn't get accruate measurements! That is what is so weird - seeing it moving on the screen and knowing that is happening inside me - but not being able to actually feel anything happening. Amazing and just, well, weird is the only word I can think of!

    Hugs and babydust everyone,

    FE -x-

Dizzi I really hope you change your mind and stay! If you leave they will have won. Everyone can see from the posts what they are like, be a bigger person (sorry no pun intended speaking as one myself!:o) and stay. There are lots of people on here who are here to support each other, and you are one of them and we wouldn't want you to leave because of a nasty smill minded, petty arrogant minority.Don't let the bullies win!

    Hi All

Winky - congratus on the embies and having enough to make snowbabies:T. Good luck tomorrow. I'm sure we'll all be thinking of you

Jiblets - I've been on clomid for 5 cycles new and I've found that the symptoms have got less and less each month. I was sooo tearful the first couple of months but now I'm not at all.

Ginvst - I have been using the clearblue fertility monitor since starting with the clomid. I never managed to get a positive on the cheap opks but have had a clear positive every month on day 17 which must be right as I have been having 31 day cycles since a couple of months into the clomid. It is expensive but I figure that I'm pretty much willing to give anything a go (apart from 1 drink this cycle I have been absolutely abstemious - if you knew me you'd be shocked)

angeladavis - Please let us know how you get on with the Foresight testing. My mum heard a piece on the radio a few years ago about couples who had tried everything to fall pregnant from strange diets to ivf and nothing had worked. They had some vitamin and mineral deficiency test and were advised to take certain supplements. Within 6 months they were all pregnant! As usual these things are expensive so I haven't tried them so I'd be really interested how you get on

As for me, now on cd 25 of a usually 31 day cycle. I should have said before that along with all the other things I did wrong in this cycle that was supposed to be 'perfect', I forgot to take all 5 days of the clomid and only rembered the first 3. Abdomen is still tight but I've been getting sort-of butterflies. Could be because I'm feeling a little bit hopeful. I'm very sad and even looked up what star sign the baby could be - it would be taurus and apparently they need lots of cuddles - hoorah. I'm so worried I'm lining myself up for a fall here, so I'm not going to post any more about it until I know for sure either way.
  • Thought I would share this with you all http://www.mmu.ac.uk/news/news-items/1110/ I know we all know how caffine and alcohol is bad for conception but there have also been reports on the news that the evidence suggests they're not so bad.
I drink way too much coffee myself so will be switching to decaff. Will also be seeing my doc next week as it has been a year now and no luck.

    Reduce alcohol and caffeine intake
When it comes to alcohol, it seems that regular drinking can alter the levels of female hormones, prolong the time taken to conceive and increase the chances of miscarrage.
Dr Derbyshire explained that the chances of falling pregnant dropped from 60% in women who consumed one to five alcoholic drinks a week to 30% for those consuming more than ten, with a “drink” defined as half a pint of lager, one shot of spirits or a 125ml glass of 8% alchohol wine.
Similarly, caffeine may lessen the fertilised egg’s ability to plant itself in the lining of the uterus. Having more than 500mg of caffine a day particularly prolongs the time it takes to conceive and the best advice is to drink less than 200mg of caffeine a day. The average mug of coffee has 100mg of caffeine, whilst the average mug of tea has 50mg.

Have been shopping today - I am going to back home, so will be meeting my friends, who in total have 4 children and one on the way, so I was in children/baby section of the shops... It attracts me like magnet those shops, and I have to go and look at things and bits, but then it hurts so much that I still can't be choosing bits for MY baby. Honestly, I wanted to curl up in the corner or the shopping centre and cry. And then there are so many pushchairs around, that you can barely pass!!! You can't escape it, can you? Anyway, still have 2 gifts to buy - one for a 5 year old girl (something with Barbie!!!!) and one for the baby on the way (that is not so easy, but probably will get a sleeping bag...).

Never mind one day I will get there as well!!!!!

  • Ginvzt I know exactly how you feel, I hate buying presents for my mates kids and even sigh walking through the baby section in the giant Boots in town!

DH bought a baba sling and a steriliser last year when I was only 8w, how were we to know, they are now hidden where I can not see them every day. It'll be my turn any time now and I'll be able to take them out from the back of the cupboard!
  • Big hugs to you all, I wish I was a fairy godmother and could make all of your dreams come true. I just truly believe that we will ALL get our time soon, and hold our hoped for babies in our arms. Hang on in there girls, we will get there.

Well, I will see you all in a just under a week. We are off to Devon for a break so hopefully will be practising the bding ready for next month!! Aunt flo finally visited after 2 weeks late, so I am ready to go!!!!

Have a good week, and lets all get PMAs (remind me of this in a few months when I am down too!!!)
