    Mortgage-free Glee!
    Hi all,

Well, survived France (just!). WW3 nearly broke out but was narrowly avoided via some tricky conversational diversionary tactics from OH :p

It was OK, I didn't sleep brilliantly, but what's new (she says looking at her watch!)

Ginvzt - I use Clearblue fert kit (also ebay purchase) - stopped actually testing during ICSI cycle (although use to keep check on cycle length because I am so rubbish at regularly taking temps), and have rested up for two months as I know fert drugs mess up results but I intend to restart next cycle.

Well best laid plans now in dust as I was going to start taking some chinese medicine I have been prescribed - Very strange thing happened this month, 26 years of 25 day cycles then one whiff of fert treatment and the body starts playing up! 1 month before ICSI - I had a long 30 day cycle (1st ever - thought I was pg but no such luck), then ICSI was 30 day, then June - 30 day, same July, then this month - back to 25 days! So, as a result, I hadn't packed the chinese medicine which I needed to take from day 1 of cycle!

Bit of a bummer it hitting me on holiday too - thought I was just getting away with it.

Holiday did give OH and I time to talk through stuff and we have decided to look at our lifestyles and also send off hair samples to Foresight preconception testing.

Lots of hugs going to you girlies (and boys too!) - Winky - good luck with ET and 2WW - it is so hard! Jiblets - sorry you are having a rough time hun, wishing it all OK tomorrow for you. x
:D Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!:D

Welcome back angel! I am glad you survived the holiday - visiting in-laws is always stressful for me (or them visiting me!!!). I like the father-in-law, although we can't speak (due to him not speaking any other language than italian, and me not speaking italian - but we get on). But don't get me started on m-i-l.

You are also not alone with the cycle playing up - mine used to be very regular 28 day. Then, since last year I had anything from 25 to 30, and also spotting few days before AF, which I never had before! I used to have 7 days bleeding, but the last few months I;ll have 2 days, than day of nothing, and then a couple of days a bit more bleeding.

Well, I think I might give a try to cbfm... I saw it on amazon for £51, and the sticks are £11.39 for a pack of 20, so not too bad... And once I am fed up with it, I can always sell it on ebay.

  • well done Winky! That is a great result. Fingers crossed you get a good call later. Will you freeze if there are 'surplus to requirements' for this time?

Still keeping an eye on you ladies! Can't help re the prediction monitor as we didn't use one, but we did use a lot of the cheapie OV predictor sticks which I bought a job-lot of on the web, and they were useful in showing that most months I OV'd quite late in my cycle.

Just a little update from me - I'm off for my 12wk scan today - even though it is only 10wks+5 (after the NHS MW told me they were running late with 1st scans - go figure!). I would be bricking it, but am actually very calm as did all my panicking last week when I had cramps and spotting and ended up in the EPU! They scanned me then and all is OK with #1 - they guessed it was prob. #2 which didn't make it, coming away. I didn't actually see the scan as I was crying with relief, but DH did and was very excited, so I'm really looking forward to today!

Wishing you ladies all the luck in the world and sending tonnes of babydust,

    FE -x-

For that price you might aswell try it. I must admit when I was using the monitor and was getting close to giving it back I researched the prices and the best I could find at the time was about (IIRC) £75 for the unit and the sticks were £20 for 20.
Looking at my chart from when I was using the monitor I used 16 sticks in the first month then 10 sticks in month 2, 7 sticks in months 3 & 4, 15 in month 5 (long cycle so ov'd later than usual) and 20 sticks in month 6 as I either didn't ov at all or it missed my surge.
Also I think I read that you shouldn't mix sticks during a cycle if they aren't the same batch number so I'd make sure I got lots of the same batch to minimise the throw aways :D

Bye ladies - I'm quitting the site following the utterly vile behaviour of someone who's taken it to hand to bully me off the forums.

Very upset about it, but this site does seem to have a core of some quite unpleasant catty people and those people always win in the end. Hope you all get what you're seeking - god knows you deserve it.
