Well done Gin, glad everything is moving along and seems all good news. :j

They are all being very particular on this single embryo transfer now, I know my Drs are the same but the Dr has said it depends on the quality of the embryo.

My stomach currently looks like a pin cushion and bruised. More needles tonight as I have my acupunture, hopefully this will make me calm and relaxed, and breing AF on.

Thanks all. I am happy all went well. Thedoctor was nice, and I understand them about singleton pregnancies. He said at the moment we still have a choice, but it might change by the time we get to that point, we might not have a choice anymore. They are changing the way they run things, and for example my drugs will be delivered to my home, I won't have to go to the clinic to collect them.

Lilo- how are you? I hope all is well.

Ok, I am home. The appointment went well. All is fine, the doctor is happy with my weight. I was at 78.6 this morning, and he didn't weigh me in, just asked hat it is. I said 79kg (accounting for clothes).

All our tests are fine, my FSH is a bit on a high side, but I was told nothing to worry about 99.3). OH's test was fine, doctor said he could get a medal for it.

So, since all is fine, I need to call them on the first day of next cycle to start it all going. We were not offered IUI (I would have tried to go straight for IVF anyway), we were strongly advised to have one embryo transferred when the time comes to it. I said I want 2, but to be discussed at the time of transfer.

So, the plan at the moment is tha if all goes well, we will be having egg collection/embryo transfer last days of November/first week of December.

Glad appointment went well. November/December seems a long way off, but it isn't really. A whole world of nerves and angst between now and then though.

Fingers crossed it all goes smoothly. Glad your weight was no barrier too.

    +++++++++

I will be hoping IUI is on offer when I see the specialist on Friday but I have a sneaky feeling it will not be. But the same specialist who works at the NHS Trust also runs the nearest private treatment centre, so I suspect me and my credit card will be redirected there. Fine by me, but I just want to be doing something now!

On an Atkins day. 3 dieting days left before Friday - I won't get to sub-30, but it'll be close.

Apparently this has been changed in our clinic in the last 6 weeks. I guess it saves me a trip there, which is quite a bit 80+ miles return journey, 1hr each way plus parking fees.

Ginvst - Glad everything went well and you seem happy with what's going on. Everything crossed here for you that it all runs smoothly and with the best possible outcome.

Juju - Sorry you look like a pincushion:eek: You know this, I know you do, but it's for the greater good......

.....As I am telling myself this evening - 24 hours after my last ciggie. I AM a happy non smoker. YIPPEE - I'M FREE and all that !!!! lol. I am also 8 days without a drink but I have allowed myself an extremely small red wine topped up with coke (a cola in case you're wondering :rotfl:) no more than 2 units - it's my treat on a fabulous 1 non smoking day.

Oh and I lost a lb lol. That's after putting 2 on last week. Never mind, onwards & upwards. If I can loose only 1lb a week, that's over a stone before Christmas :T (theres positive thinking for you lol)

DH has his second SA on Thursday then in 2 weeks we'll get the results and I guess they'll decide what to do with us. Am giving this cycle a good shot and trying the following currently:
    Soya Isoflavones 200mg (2 capsules)
Evening Primrose Oil 520mg (1 capsule)
    Black Cohosh 400mg (2 capsules)
    Liquorice Root 200mg
    Agnus Castus 100mg
    Pregnacare (1 capsule)
    Temping
    Persona Monitor
    Checking CM
I swear to god if you shook me, i'd rattle right now and my morning routine is taking about half an hour longer what with checking, peeing and temping! lol.

My fertile time this month is my birthday tho - yayyyy ;) lol. Does anyone else get like me and overly optimistic about chances of catching, just because it's a special occasion? No? Just me then lol. You'd think i'd have learnt by now really.

Anyway, essay, sorry. I should learn to post little & often instead of rambling like I tend to once a week lol

Sexki11en, I suppose you don't want to try Preseed?
I'm into that at the moment. I don't really need a lubricant, but Preseed should make a great river inside you to ease the swimmers deep inside you. After all, it can't swim on thin air;)
