As for me, I've been taking norethisterone to induce AF, but I've been getting ov symptoms, ewcm and +OPK yesterday:undecided

I had a scan on Monday (CD14), and was told there are no follicles maturing, so this is probably some side effect of norethisterone.
I'd love to BD just in case, but DH was late coming home yesterday, and was drinking, so no go:( It won't implant anyway since I'm taking norethisterone:lipsrseal

I do! i had an appointment at the hospital today. I took my first month of clomid and they wanted to see how I am doing, or rather my follicles. It turns out I shoudl hopefully OV on sunday!!! One of the follicles is around 15-16mm in size and lining is looking nice and healthy as well. so it's all good news for me so far. I have to book an appointment with GP to see if I OVd for the following week and if i did, the hospital won't even want to see me anymore until the follow up appointment with the specialist in December. if i didn't, i will have to go back for the scan again next month. So fingers crossed!!!!!

I have stuff to talk about.

It's my birthday on Monday and everyone at work has forgotten, no one (friends or family wise) is around to do anything, hubby hasn't planned anything and to add insult to injury i'm not smoking (4 days smoke free now - willpower alone) or drinking. Actually, I lie. After 10 days tee total, i've opened a bottle of red (only had 2 small ones so far!). Happy bloody birthday to me.

I'm totally fed up. Due to OV on my actual birthday but am not getting excited about that, because lets face it, after 16 (or is it 17, i'm past caring) attempts, it's really not going to happen is it?

Ahh well. 13 days till we can pick up the results of hubbys SA.

I promise i'll read back tomorrow and hopefully be in a better frame of mind.

So sorry to hear you are down. Nobody remembers my birthday either, only my family. It's always been that way, since it's during the school holidays... Had nice family birthday holidays instead, like birthday at Disneyland/world:o

ive been on a bit of a downer this week too worrying about our appointment, and the diet is not helping , but i had a lovely girly evening with a couple of close friends last night, the diet was blown but i feel much happier today good luck to everyone

Anyway - We saw the s_ecialist yesterday - I'm left with little 0_timism. i cried like a f00l in her 0ffice.

S0 I had a transvaginal scan - much t0 my sur_rise - which was fascinating. I have an axial uterus - which I think means tilted, I haven't g00gled it yet - and my left 0vary is much smaller than the right. This may be c0ntributing t0 0ur lack 0f success. My right 0vary l00ks like a bunch 0f black gra_es, the left 0ne is withered. I had a cyst rem0ved fr0m the left 0ne tw0 years ag0. S0 all my m0ney's n the right 0ne.

Anyway - n0 la_a0sc0y f0r me, the c0nsultant sees n0 need. She w0n't rec0mmend IUI as she says it is unlikely t0 w0rk f0r us because there are n0 0bvi0us issues with either0f us and, as a treatment, is 0n its way 0ut, at least at 0ur l0cal treatment centres.

She has sent me away t0 d0 m0re bl00d tests etc and will write t0 d0ct0r s0 I can get Cl0mid f0r 6 m0nths, and she'll increase d0se if required after day twenty 0ne bl00ds. Unf0rtunately, it wn't be this m0nth, because we'll be 0verseas 0n cd 0ne. I just realised this, I'll have t0 call her 0ffice.

The 0nly 0ther thing is IVF, and my husband w0n't let us have IVF because he's a hard-c0re cath0lic.

S0 it's cl0mid 0r n0thing - and the c0nsultant says the chances 0f cl0mid w0rking are slim, in the single figures.

The biggest thing w0rking against us is my age, at thirty seven.

S0 there may be n0thing.

I w0n't quit trying until I am a bit 0lder, but I'm g0ing t0 have t0 start getting my head t0 realise it may n0t 0ccur, and that I may have t0 start c0ming t0 terms with that.

Maybe it's time t0 start c0unting my blessings and aband0n what may have always just been a f0lly?

There's injectable FSHs which one can combine with Clomid - I'm going on it next cycle. Will let you know how it goes, I have to inject myself:shocked:

aww big hugs all around!!!!! (I can't find the smilies at the moment) Hopefully a nice restful weekend will make you lot a little happier and more optimistic.

I have got the waterworks today. i have had a lazy morning watching telly and have cried at everything. I cried when Myleene Klass was talking about her new pregnancy (not in a sense that I was jealous of her, I don't really get upset at pregnancy news, but because it was happy news), cried at some nice pictures on Britain's Next Top Model etc etc etc. It's getting rather ridiculous. Oh well... household chores to follow...... fun stuff!!

Hope everyone is feeling a bit better. Maybe a nice walk in the nature would help?
