    Well, less than 48 hours till our appointment. The weight is not at BMI 29 level, I am on AHA diet again (I have to say, it doesn't feel like a diet at all). I have been to the gym yesterday and did 5km walking/running, and the same again today. Will try and keep up and do it tomorrow as well, and possibly Monday morning.

    I don't think I have any chances of getting to BMI 29, but I am happy with my progress, my weight is down, I slimmed down considerably, my fitness improved. Will see how much weight I can shift by Monday morning, but I guess that is not going to be 2 kg I need!

    Good luck!! How annoying will it be if it's just 2kg off though??
    However, surely the system will let 2 kg off? i mean a person can fluctuate that weight within a day ...

    On another note, I started taking clomid and I think it's kicked in. At least I hope it was clomid and not me. I was in a bad mood yesterday - emotional and just gloomy. DH got the most of it but I think I made a couple of sarky remarks to friends too. I hope they didn't take offence.
    DH asked if that's what he's got to look forward to while I'm taking it and if pregnant. :rotfl:
  • Good luck tomorrow Ginvzt - hope the appointment goes well and gets you one step closer.

    The last time I did the AHA diet (last week) I gained a pound..annoying!

    I'm currently 12"11 - still need to lose 5 pounds to get a sub-30 BMI.

    +++++++++

    Kairi - I can be a complete cow with or without Clomid! Good luck with it. Stay sane..

    ++++++

    I'm on CD4. We see specialist on Friday (CD9). Another 10 days remain before SWI resumes.

    I think side effects = clomid is working:cool:
    I didn't get side effects...
    Good luck:o

    As for me, Clomid 3rd cycle was no go, it was double the usual dose at 100mg, but no ov at CD14. No sign at all:(
    So this cycle is cancelled, and I'm taking drugs to induce AF.

    Next cycle, I'm back to Clomid 50mg CD2-6, but with injections at CD4, 6, 8 and maybe 10:eek:
  • Thanks for the welcome everyone.
    Sorry for the delay in replying, I only get internet access at work - and thats only when the boss is out of the office !
    My doctor has referred us to the fertility clinic so we are waiting for the appointment to come through. I dont know how long it will take.
    As yet we dont know if there are any problems on my side.
    My DH is doing another SA later this week, just incase the first test was done wrong. If they cant find any swimmers this time as well then I guess we will be referred somewhere to investigate the reason why.

    Sorry to hear that you had no OV. Is this normal for you?

    And those injections, are they still clomid then? do you have to do them yourself?

    I tend to ovulate late since the very beginning, so no ov at CD14 is not unusual, but we can't wait for my ov forever:o
    I usually ov at around CD23, but it can be as early as CD15 to late as CD40:(

    No it's something else, I forgot to ask, but it's probably FSH or something.
    And yes I have to inject myself:eek:
    Never done that before...
  • Day 5.

    ++++++++

    Hope today's appointment went well, Ginvzt. Are you going forward with IVF?

    ++++++++

    This month..(month 14)

    I'm going to try being chilled out and thinking 'fertile thoughts'. Acupuncture starts next week. I know if it does work it's because of the placebo effect - but to be honest, that's good enough for me; my GP wouldn't give me any placebos when I asked him.

    I've also read that fertility treatments are much more successful when the patients are relaxed. In an israeli trial, post-IVF patients had a much higher success rate when they were 'entertained' by a 'clown' than those who weren't, according to my latest book 'Fertile Thoughts'. I don't like clowns much myself, but I've ordered the 'Gavin and Stacey' boxset - episode 1 is a cracker.

    ++++++++

    I will try a few of the old standards - brazil nuts, gaifenesin, pineapple juice et al. I will also introduce bee pollen this month. That's Plan B(ee).

    Ok, I am home. The appointment went well. All is fine, the doctor is happy with my weight. I was at 78.6 this morning, and he didn't weigh me in, just asked hat it is. I said 79kg (accounting for clothes).

    All our tests are fine, my FSH is a bit on a high side, but I was told nothing to worry about 99.3). OH's test was fine, doctor said he could get a medal for it.

    So, since all is fine, I need to call them on the first day of next cycle to start it all going. We were not offered IUI (I would have tried to go straight for IVF anyway), we were strongly advised to have one embryo transferred when the time comes to it. I said I want 2, but to be discussed at the time of transfer.

    So, the plan at the moment is tha if all goes well, we will be having egg collection/embryo transfer last days of November/first week of December.
