Alamaya! AAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!
Congratulations!!! I'm sure you'll do a thousand tests before you're done - I would, seeing two lines never stops being fun!
Naughty you for being impatient - but I don't blame you, I'd have done it too - and thank goodness, you got the right result!!!
It was worth all that effort you went too - hope the next 8 months go swimmingly.0 -
I've lost another pound!! Five in five days!! Only 7 to go to get a sub-30 BMI. I might just do this..
CD23 for me. No early testing this month, I can't take the crushing disappointment - I'll wait until AF or I'm late I think. We'll see.
No SSing - because I have absolutely zero symptoms!
+++++++++++
Hope AF stays away Lilo. She can be such a tease sometimes, but fingers crossed.

Hi VK -
It depends whether you're TTC your first DC, and also on your PCT (assuming your specialist is NHS).
On my first visit in Dec07, we went together, and it was basically an interview of how long we'd been TTC, with a few medical questions about possible reasons for infertility.
The specialist said she'd review our case notes and tests, but that the first step would be LAP&DYE, which I had in Feb 08. She told me that if we had no long within 3 cycles, to go backl for Clomid. If the Clomid did not work, I would be offered one funded IVF cycle.
I did not got pg by May 08, so I phoned her office and she sent my GP a recommendation for 6 months' of Clomid.
(I then got pg naturally in late May/early June 08. (before I took the Clomid - but I took the first month of Clomid anyway by accident - I mistook implantation or OV bleeding in early June for AF - D'oh!) Luckily, there was no harm done, although I have read of cases where people have done this and had a m/c - but that may be a casual rather than a causal link.)
Good luck tomorrow - a big step towards your dream!0 -
By the way, we were a bit dry on BFPs here for a while - now there's a deluge! Who'll be next?
Let it be me please!!!
Congrats alamaya on your BFP, hope everything runs smoothly and keep everything crossed for you.
Started down regulation yesterday and its wasn't as bad as I remebered. Bit of a long process but hope the time will pass quickly and I get lots of great eggs. EC not till mid October so will just keeping jabbing myself every morning.
My mum annoyed me yesteday as she keeps going on about how unfair it is and its worse cause its not my fault its the OH. I told her firmly it doesn't matter whos problem it is we just have to deal with it and get on with it. She says everyone feels so sorry for me, I don't want peoples pity that just annoys me more. She doesn't understand how I can stay so positive - well I haven't got much choice have I.
Sorry rant over.
Good luck everyone elseBEST WIN LAST YEAR - MULBERRY HANDBAGSENDING STICKY VIBES TO THOSE WHO NEED THEM0 -
Looking on the positive side JuJu, if you don't have fertility probs yourself, ICSI probably has a good chance of success (it is ICSI, isn't it?)
They only need one good sperm from his offering, your eggs should be good, implantation should go well...sounds so easy!, I hope it really is that straightforward!!
Mid-October is a long way away, good luck with everything.
Fingers crossed.0 -
Alamaya - congratulations! Hope all goes well for the other 8 months. Let us know how you get on!My mum annoyed me yesteday as she keeps going on about how unfair it is and its worse cause its not my fault its the OH. Jujugaboo, it is hard with families, isn't it? I actually sent an email asking my mum not to ask anything about the treatment and said I will tell her how we are doing when I feel like it. She is in another country, and we talk once a week, and every time we talk she used to ask when is your next doctor's appointment, how is it going, etc. It was getting too hard. So, I asked her to stop.
Weight-wise, I am on 79.9kg today, last day of AHA diet. I actually quite enjoyed it! AF is on its way, so I hope the weight will drop a bit more.Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
Congratulations Alamaya!!! Excellent news!!!!!
Hopefully next BFP isn't far!!!
I have a question to you all, yet again...
Just for a quick background info (sorry if you remember me going through this before) I went years without AF until they put me on the pill. Gave that up Sept09. First few months I had only 2 or 3 AFs but from May 2010 onwards it's been quite frequent.
My cycles since May have been 18, 30, 23, 13 (doc thought this was mid-cycle bleed though) and 23.
I am now on CD26 and no sign of AF what so ever. I had some slight AF type pain about 4 days ago but now nothing. I am not hopeful but as I'm starting on clomid next cycle I really need to find out if i'm pg or not. But when would be a good time for me to test??? Doc said I should take the drug to bring on AF if not here by 18th which would be CD32. should i wait with testing till then ??0
