Good luck VK on the weight loss, use the next 5 months to get in tip top condition and hopefully you will conceive first time.

Some people have all the luck in conceiving first time but for others it is harder. I don't smoke and very rarely drink. I don't drink coffee and only drink decaf tea, I have even cut out chocolate because of the caffine in it. I'm only 33 so why doesn't it work for me? This time I am being the ever optomist and saying it will but then again I said that last time.

Have my acupunture appointment next week so hopefully she will destress me and get the blood flowing. I have got 5 weeks of down reging so I better get use to it.

Sending positive thoughts to everyone else.

well i am hoping the weight falls off i am in my early 20s so i have no reason for it not to
i dont drink coffee or tea and have already heavily cut back on fizzy juice and if i have it, it is diet or caffine free. my only pitfall is chocolate and even at that i do love it but dont have it all the time.

hopefully your acupuncture relaxes you, are you getting that on the nhs?

Good luck! And don't stop with 2 vices - give up caffeine too, if you haven't already!

Caffine went over a year ago - I took the easiest of the three lol. I don't drink coke or eat chocolate so there is no caffine in my diet at all. I occasionally allow myself one or two as a treat whilst AF is visiting but no more.

I have to admit I rely on alcohol a bit when things get hard which lets face it, when you're TTC, is all the time!

Day one of no alcohol and i'm fine lol. Ciggies will be gone by the end of the week

No VK, I am paying for that privately but I feel its worth it. Good luck with the weight loss.

  • And people say HAVING children is expensive - it can be just as blooming well expensive trying to conceive them!

Obviously IVF/ICSI is one league of cost, but there are the littler things too - I've just signed up for acupuncture treatments starting 1 October too @35 quid a go, and my PT costs £35 a go too...added to that the cost of all the weird and wonderful treatments I've tried:

    -Maca
    -Infertilitea
    -Bee Pollen
    -Soy Isoflavones
    -Rose quartz jewellery
    -Baby aspirin
    -Infertility hypnotherapy CD
    -Infertility books x one million
    -Conception vits
    -Progesterone cream
    -Agnus castus
    -Dong Quai (sp)
    -Burning babypowder scented candles
-Weird and wonderful diet plans to lose weight ££££

    and so on

It all mounts up. And my husband wonders where all our money keeps disappearing to..
  • Despite my pledges, I tested early, at 9dpo. It's a no. Surprise, surprise.

    I don't think it's a no because I tested early either - I have a feeling it's a no because it's a no.

    Rats.
  • Weight-wise, I am on 79.9kg today, last day of AHA diet. I actually quite enjoyed it! AF is on its way, so I hope the weight will drop a bit more.[/QUOTE]

Well done for sticking to the AHA diet! It isn't so bad, is it? I'm doing it again this week, starting today (so got the worst lunch - tuna and toast - out of the way already!!)

My weight today is 12"13, I need to lose 7 pounds in 10 days!!

(I made the mistake of going to the gym yesterday - as I suspected, while good for muscles.fitness/long-term thinness) short-term, it's not great for dropping pounds. I have plateau'd last few days. AHA should get things moving again! (If Alli doesn't..!)

Ohhhhh, in for a penny, in for a pound! I've decided as well as going alcohol and smoke free, i'm going to join slimming world!

I'm not massively overweight (with a BMI of 26.6) but I have a HUGGGGEEEE tummy (and not for the right reasons ) and I figure if i'm going healthy this won't hurt either. DH thinks an imposter's moved in with him lol.

Sorry for the BFN Chickpea *hugs*

    Hello
Sorry for BFN Chickpea. Hopefully this is your last BFN !!!!!

    CD 1 for me!!!
Actually I am a little bit confused about that - I know I shouldn't count the spotting day as CD1, so I started spotting yesteday evening and today it's very superlight AF. would this be CD1 or should I wait til I am properly bleeding??
I am supposed to call the hospital on CD1 to arrange appointments for tracking OV (which obviously could have been today but I forgot to take the phone number with me) and start taking clomid CD2. so I kind of need to know...

Does anyone else have to go to the hospital for internal scans every other day when taking clomid? I thought i only had to go once every cycle but it's every other day. I think I will actually have to let work know because it's obviously going to be during working hours. Not overly happy about that although they must be guessing what's happening.

It's all making this TTC thing very real. So far I've been pretty easy going about it all but I'm afraid as things are getting more serious with tablets and hospitals etc I will start getting upset about AF. I've not really even considered that I may not be able to conceive at all as I always thought I just need a little help. But what if those 6-12 months on clomid pass and still nothing. Hmm.. must stay positive !!!!
