    jiblets - congratulations!!!

I am still away with work in Holland and it seems like it will take 2 weeks longer than intended, so I might have to stay here until mid September...

We had our tests done (my blood, semen/blood for OH) and now we are waiting for the appointment at the clinic. Well, I hope they won't be in too much hurry, as I won't be back in UK for another month!

It's been a long time since I posted on here... I used to post with jiblets, lilo, ginvzt, nottslass, shelly, somniun, nichart, Nicki, and VK-2008 around two years ago. I was going through preliminary fertility tests, HSG etc at the time. All that time I would check the thread every now and then but became shy to post but was sending you all lots of baby dust and doing the ole fertility dance.

Jiblets I doubt you will remember me but I always felt like we had things in common because we were starting around the same time with similar questions and same age etc. I just read the thread tonight starting from you doing EC, then ET, then 2ww and thought you might be in 2ww by end of thread and was going to post a good luck message. When I read it further I got to your post about it being time to POAS and I was feeling anxious and excited on your behalf. I now have tears of happiness running down my face that you are pregnant as I've wanted it so long for you! Congratulations and let this be a sticky bean! Like Nottslass says, please try not to worry (although it's not easy, I know) but to savour and enjoy this time.

Good luck with all tests ginvzt and I am wishing you all BFPs.

Huge, massive congratulations to both you and your DH Jiblets.
I'm just one of the many lurkers who has been humbled by you ladies and also made to realise that my fertility is a gift never to be taken for granted. So very happy for you. I have followed your journey and can think of no-one who deserves this more (apart from the other ladies who post here).
These things usually happen in 3's, so awaiting happy announcements from more of -Love and luck to you all and loads of sparkly, happy sticky baby-dust. xXx

    I'm at clomid cycle 2.
I have PCO. I do ovulate but my cycles are irregular (26-54days).
DH has problems with 99% of his swimmers abnormally shaped, and low motility (22%), abnormal viscosity.

I had one miscarriage last year at 11 weeks. The baby had heartbeat and was growing normally until 10 weeks:(

sorry to hear that QQuaver, we sadly had m/c last sept last year at 8 weeks. i thought i was having irregular cycles when i came off pill i was all over the place but now i seems to be averaging about 31 days really anytime between 28 and 33 is what i call normal. DH has been tested and he seems to be ok it me thats at fault.
what exactly is clomid and do yo know how it works. our last docs appt was in june and it was like 2 days after our wedding so we were kinda all over the place and doc was unsure about progressing treatment at moment as i have been in car accident which causes my arms and legs great pain meaning we are having less sex. she wants us back next month and if i am feeling bette said she would put us on this tablet which i presume is clomid. is it any good - any side effects.
wishing you the best of luck

VK-2008, it's good that your DH is OK, male infertility is very hard to treat:o

Clomid can have side effects, and it differs from person to person.
    I had none, and no BFP:p But I ov'd on CD15 which was good:o

Clomid can make your egg stronger and can get your LP longer which will help implantation, so many people who ov normally take them.

    Hope it works for us:beer:

so do you do like ov tests to check its working? what does lp mean? i apologise for all my questions, i really have not started looking into this.
i really do think people take getting pregnant as something that comes soooo easy, i hate how its so hard to talk to people about. im thinking about telling some more of my friends tomorrow, we have not told any family as we dont want the whole 20q's everytime its a family occaison. luckily with being young and only 2 months married the q's have not been too bad but expect them to start soon. how long have you been trying?

I use Clearblue fertility monitor and internet cheapie ov tests and BBT temp chart, but I also get a scan at CD12 to check if ov is likely.

LP is luteal phase, time between ov & AF. It needs to be longer to sustain pregnancy. I think anywhere over 10 days is good, but some doctors prefer more than 12 days. Mine has been consistently over 13 days but my doc thinks the temps needs to be higher and remain high for most of these days (mine goes up gradually and comes down gradually).

We've been trying since June 2009 (mc August).
Our closest people know about the mc so I think they know we are ttc, but are not asking any q's:p

so does the doc ask you to check all this stuff. i am going to make a list of questions to ask the doctor as i get all uptight everytime i go in. i think its one of those things its so hard to control your emotions and keep it together. i am trying to think positive but its hard.
AAARRRGGGHHHH who fancies a big scream? i think i need to blow off some steam
