hello ladys x I thought id share my story. I started ttc in 1998 in 2001 i feel pg but sadly lost at 17 weeks. After ttc i finally fell and had my son in 2006 . 8 years of trying ..i had unexplained infertilty i fell eventually on clomid (we had a lot of distractions in those 8 years to keep us busy getting married and big holidays and also we bought a deralict house..which is why i didnt go to see drs until after 5 years ttc! but even they didn't find anything really wrong). Then when ds was 9 months old we started ttc again thinking we where in for another long haul but after just 9 months we fell again ! So My eldest son turned 2 then 2 weeks after his birthday i gave him a baby brother. It does make me a bit miffed when you see people who have only been trying a few months getting peed off about not ttc talking about drs etc then themsleves getting upset because there friends have concieved i just think wow try waiting almost a decade then seeing your friends babys starting school then feel free to complain (sorry i ranted a bit there)
what im saying is don't ever give up hope its all you have good luck to you all xx

  • Morning ladies! Sorry I don't pop on here often, but I do keep an eye on the thread.

Kairi, you sound exactly like me! Right from being a teenager it was random whether AF came, until I used contraceptives which masked it for years. When I stopped using them too I had the same experience, except that after a couple of very short cycles my Af started going loopy and vanishing again!

I had the same issue with the hycosy, and I went down the pill to bring it on route, which gave me the peace of mind that I could definately have it sooner rather than later if I relied on my erratic period to arrive. Beware though the pills sent me a bit hormonal! (understatement!) Its both an emotional, exciting and nervous time going for all the tests- half of me wanted them to say go away, theres nothing wrong, and part wanted them to find something wrong so they could fix it. Its such a horrible word infertility.

I was diagnosed with annovulation- fancy way of saying I don't ovulate- No !!!!!! Sherlock! Luckily there are several options to help with this such as Clomid and other ovulation induction techniques. Although this didn't work for me, as I was very impatient, given my age, and went straight to the IVF wait list which luckily was really short.

Long story short, on our 2nd attempt (with frozen embyos) I am now 24 weeks preggers with a wonderful baby girl!

I didn't mean to ramble so much!

*_*_*_* Baby dust to everyone! *_*_*_*

Hi! I'm here! Limited internet access at the moment as I've just got into my new house!
All very exciting! Except for the fact that our solicitor has rung us this morning and suddenly announced that the money SHE asked us to send in for completion was £500 short. And she's not sure why. Stupid woman. We've not been very happy with her anyway, and this is just the icing on the cake.

But, nicer things, I POAS in 2 days. I've hardly had any time to consider how I feel about the whole thing, but when I get a moment to myself I have a bit of a freak out. I really hope this works (obviously). If it doesn't, we will be left with so many doubts about the amount of stress and how busy I've been with the move and we'll wonder if we MADE it not work. I've been pretty sensible - no lifting or carrying, but I've definately been busy. IVF and moving house is not a good combination. But who can turn either of them down when they knock at your door?
Am not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o :o

Jibs, put that out of your mind - so long as you have been sensible, you will not have affected your chances at all - in fact thinking of other things has probably done you more good. Have certainly been thinking of you over the last few days.

I am a lot better, although not yet full of any beans. The best thing was the 1/2 stone I lost, which so far is staying off!

I am currently 3 days late for AF visit. Havent tested, havent got a clue. Bit concerned that I had an xray last week but I needed it. Must get round to putting myself out of my misery - should add that my hopes are def not up, certainly not expecting a BFP.

Hoping everyone is well - it is very quiet on here! Lilo

Thanks Winky! You've given me a bit of hope.
I had an appointment at the hospital couple of days ago which was meant to be for the nurse to give me a pill to bring on AF. I decided to tell them what's happening and she didn't give me any drugs as a result. Let's hope I will still have AF before 25th then!!! Mind you, she did do an internal scan on my ovaries and apparently there was 1 follicle there. A good size she said and that I will ovulate some time this week. So must do plenty of BD this week and POAS on 20th if no AF. Here goes hoping....

Jiblets - lots and lots of luck with POAS x x

Lilo - hope your feeling better and rid of pneumonia, lots and lots of luck with POAS too x x

jujugaboo - yeh I totally could relate to the story line thought she did well with it too, how are you getting on? x x

ginvzt - how annoying she could have been a bit more understanding with you on the phone, you should ring back get them to explain everything again it can be confusing what's happening when.

I went to hospital this morning CD2 cyst still there so I am having a mini op to have it drained, I think its like a laparoscopy and it should be within next 2 weeks then IVF treatment should start on my next AF, its really tested my patience :(

Hope everyone is well x x
