I am PUPO, ladies. ET was easy peasy, so know I'm over mam's with my feet up. My parents are always really calm and collected so I was really surprised to see how excited they were when we got here. Bless them, they've held a lot in I think so as not to pressure me.
For us, ginvzt, OH was with me for the ET and we both watched it on the ultrasound screen. We could see the catheter go in, we saw a little squirt when they transferred the embryo, and we got to take a picture of our embryo up on the screen before they put it in. I don't know if I'd advise OH going in with you for EC tbh. Hubby wasn't with me, and i think he'd have been worried if he was. It didn't hurt me at all, but I think there was maybe a lot of grumbling and groaning from my semi-conscious self that might have been upsetting.
16 days waiting now, then we need to POAS.:T:T:T
That's great jiblets, I am keeping everything crossed for you x x0 -
Hi Ladies.. Well, well, well, the Soy made me get a positive OPK result which is quite amazing! Normally I can't "hoverlate" at all without clomid and after months of negatives since my Clomid ran out, I'm now over the moon. Early days I know, but I got ovulation pain so presumably its done the trick. Incidentally, I'm not prone to being a sufferer of side effects from tablets and took the Clomid with no problem whatsoever, but I've found the Soy makes me feel incredibly sick mid morning and gives me hot flushes. Anyway, could all be worth it, hopefully, so I'm not complaining!
Jiblets - nice onehope everything goes to plan!
Ginvzt - your other half and my other half sound like total opposites! Mine couldn't stand me even talking about transferring embryos without looking pale and going a bit wobbly!
Lots of love everyone, stay positive, one day it's going to be our turn and (to quote an awful cliche) the best things come to those who wait. xx0 -
Wow jiblets - very exciting, sending lots of very important sticky baby dust your way
Qquaver, I think some of the tests they do as part of the SA are done straight away, but others take a while. Oh well time is flying at the mo so we'll have the results in no timeProud to be a moneysaver! :cool:0 -
jiblets - fingers (and everything else) crossed for you!
My OH is saying that I get to do 'all the cool stuff' and he wants to see it all. I said I don't want his to be for EC, and he just said - I'll just hold your hand. When I told him I will be sedated or under GA, he said !I want to be see it anyway!".Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
Jiblets - hope all goes (went) well today.
So, since AF arrived on Monday, I presented myself back at hospital this morning for blood tests. The nurse asked 'have you had blood taken before', to which I had to hold not to laugh out loud. You think after all the tests we have to go through, examinations, etc we didn't have any blood taken? She was lovely though.
They put a strong emphasis on having single embryo transfer, especially if you are under 35. The average eggs collected they said they have about 10, and the most they had were 20-30 eggs from a single collection!!!!
My OH was pretty excited about it all and said he wants to watch when they do egg collection and embryo transfer. Ok to the second one, but I am not sure about the first one! We are both a bit of geeks, so, it is quite interesting for us...
I have had hundreds of blood tests too and I hate them I have to ask for the special numb spray everytime, I am a whimp.
They seem to be keen on this single embryo transfer, my Dr said the same but I want 2 put back in. Average egg collection of 10 sounds good to me as I only had 3 so preying for than that next time.
They wouldn't let my partner watch the egg collection as I think there is alot of people in there when its being done, however he was there for the transfer which was great to see on the screen even though I found it really uncomfortable as you have to have pretty full bladder and they took ages to find the right place. We had a little picture after as well which was nice but it wasn't meant to be.BEST WIN LAST YEAR - MULBERRY HANDBAGSENDING STICKY VIBES TO THOSE WHO NEED THEM0 -
Glad all went well Jibs, now keep laying down, relax and try not to think about the long wait (easier said than done).
AF is now late (ever a glimmer of hope than I might be pregnant) which means my ICSI treatment doesn't look like its going to start till beginning of October which seems such a long time away. I am now hoping AF will be really late this month and Aug will be late too so I can start treatment at the beginning of Sept rather than the end of Sept. Fingers crossed.
Good luck everyone else.BEST WIN LAST YEAR - MULBERRY HANDBAGSENDING STICKY VIBES TO THOSE WHO NEED THEM0
