To save me writing it all again, here's the link to my blog but basically I found the EC fine. There was some discomfort, but nothing I felt for more than a moment before I went under again. And they were all absolutely lovely... I was relived how well it went.Am not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o0

I love the way you name the nurses:D0 -
Great blog, hope all goes well tomorrow morning. Four is a good number, I would be very happy as I only had one last time. The Drs will put the best one back in and I am keeping my fingers crossed that it works out for you.

Hi Ladies,
Well I'm came and said hello once I reached 12 months, but haven't been back since as I've not had much to say yet. OH had his SA last Friday, so now we've got the long wait for results until we can finally move on to proper fertily tests for me (presuming it comes back ok).
I don't know much about assisted fertility etc so can't always follow what you guys are up to but wish you all lots of luckProud to be a moneysaver! :cool:0 -
Hi Maddie. Well done on getting as far as the SA - men can be funny b**gars about it. Mine got really hyperactive waiting for his results! It's a good thing we ladies don't get so worked up about our lady parts!
Good luck to you too - and if you need to get as far as fertility treatments we can help you with anything you need to know (well, pretty much anything between us...)Am not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o0 -
jiblets - my OH was fine about it, takes the whole thing with a pinch of salt really. He thinks that we just simply aren't doing it enough. We don't time BDing and admittedly we do occassionally go about a week with no BDing if i'm working late or my IBS is playing up etc, but after 14 months we must have hit the spot many times.
Overall we're not too stressed about the whole thing as I think we'd be happy to be foster parents if we can't be birth parents. We looked into applying to foster now but we can't as we're TTC (which makes sense), so are just waiting to see what the tests show etc. I don't think we'd go down the assisted conception route ourselves, but i guess we'll cross that bridge if we come to it.
Quaver - apparently it takes 3 weeks, then we have to ring the doctors to get them. We are going to ring after 2 weeks just in case. the frustrating thing is that this was meant to be done back in April but because of admin errors etc it's taken until nowProud to be a moneysaver! :cool:0 -
Jiblets - hope all goes (went) well today.
We had our PIE (Patient informtaion evening) last night, where we were given the forms of consent, and some tests to do. So, I needed to do blood test at day 2-4 for FSH, LH, etc, plus hep B, hep C and HIV. Apparently that is not in my records. OH has to do another 'sample' next Thursday and also hep B/C & HIV.
We were told about the procedure a bit, then embryologist told us about what they do and showed dome photos and videos. Councelor introdused herself, etc. It was quite good, I thought.
So, since AF arrived on Monday, I presented myself back at hospital this morning for blood tests. The nurse asked 'have you had blood taken before', to which I had to hold not to laugh out loud. You think after all the tests we have to go through, examinations, etc we didn't have any blood taken? She was lovely though.
Once our tests are done and results are back, which should take a few days to a week for each of us (so, hopefully by beginning of August), we will be sent an appointment to come to clinix to discuss our options and they will recommend the treatment. Also, they will roughly be calculating when we are likely to start the treatment. If we are lucky with the dates, I might be starting down-reging begining of October, then EC by the end of October. That is, if they let us go for IVF.
They put a strong emphasis on having single embryo transfer, especially if you are under 35. The average eggs collected they said they have about 10, and the most they had were 20-30 eggs from a single collection!!!!
My OH was pretty excited about it all and said he wants to watch when they do egg collection and embryo transfer. Ok to the second one, but I am not sure about the first one! We are both a bit of geeks, so, it is quite interesting for us...Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -

We tried Cleablue fertility monitor (opk) for the first time, and we are supposed to BD on both or one of the 'Peak' days.
DH felt the pressure, and couldn't perform on either days:(
Big disappointment for the both of us, but hope the one we did the night before Peak was enough.Quaver - apparently it takes 3 weeks, then we have to ring the doctors to get them. ginvzt, glad the PIE went well, and your OH was excited too:)
I fainted once after getting the bloods done, so I think they'd like to know that beforehand:rotfl:0 -

I am PUPO, ladies. ET was easy peasy, so know I'm over mam's with my feet up. My parents are always really calm and collected so I was really surprised to see how excited they were when we got here. Bless them, they've held a lot in I think so as not to pressure me.
For us, ginvzt, OH was with me for the ET and we both watched it on the ultrasound screen. We could see the catheter go in, we saw a little squirt when they transferred the embryo, and we got to take a picture of our embryo up on the screen before they put it in. I don't know if I'd advise OH going in with you for EC tbh. Hubby wasn't with me, and i think he'd have been worried if he was. It didn't hurt me at all, but I think there was maybe a lot of grumbling and groaning from my semi-conscious self that might have been upsetting.
16 days waiting now, then we need to POAS.:T:T:TAm not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o0
