Ginvzt, hope you get some positive help from the GP today, you shouldn't have to put up with that. Good luck, x

Morning ladies, i am thinking of joining your group, as i have been on the ttc thread for over a year and had one mc, and things just seem to be changing too much for me to track my body and although still relatively confindent, i am feeling a little like it is going to take a while to get there. I am going to make an appointment with the gp next month, hoping that temping will help explain things to them.

Thanks, I know some of you know me.

I will wish you all lots of very sticky baby dust :)

Oh well, welcome Leopardlady! I hope you can put up with [STRIKE]our[/STRIKE] mine mumbings all day long!

Well, I got an emergency appointment with GP (was feeling guilty about taking up the emergency one, but the GP was very kind). It appears I have got shingles. Again - I had this once nearly 2 years ago, and it was only picked up as we went to see nurse at surgery to discuss if there is anything we need to do before starting ttc, and I just thought I'll ask what those watery spots on my face that appeared a day ago mean. So, I am on antibiotics for 7 days 5 (!!!) times a day. Hope it clears up soon...

    Hi all, welcome LeopardLady.

You have been going through the mill Ginvzt! So sorry to hear you have shingles. You need to rest rest and rest!

OH and I are off for a week in France visiting the inlaws. I hope we don't end up having a row about more IVF! My parents are coming and Mum has said she will stick up for me if my father in law starts.

Have a lovely week everyone, rest up Ginvzt!

    Baby dust to all!
:D Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!:D

It is just that I am not good at resting. We have a big house and I am loving it and want to keep clean and tidy. And the garden. I was just in the garden picking some sorrel for the soup (I love sorrel soup, but never made it myself, so it is going to be first time), and thought I really should do some weeding - that seems to be growing the best at the moment. Oh, and I need to water my plants..... But I am so tired, I just want to stay on the sofa. But I want to do cleaning and weeding... Oh, I don't know... I am feeling guilty at being lazy, and I can't get over it!

Enjoy your trip and don't let anyone to annoy you. It is your life, not theirs. If your F-I-L starts on about IVF tell him to go and do it himself! (is MIL still around?)

Welcome Leopardlady (and any other newbies I missed!)

Not much to report here except I have had the usual spotting/dbs for 8 days now so I know AF is on her way.

Welcome to this thread Leopardlady ... I recently moved across too, but still keep an eye on the other one.

Ginvst ... take it easy .... I know what you mean about not liking taking it easy ... came home from work early and felt the need to mow and strim, even though grass was too wet and I felt like poo!

Had another GP appointment this morning (but not sure why, it could have been done over the phone (which wouldn't have meant a grouchy and tired DH wanting to come along!)) Lovely doctor, is referring us to fertility clinic, but computer wasn't working this morning so got to wait for the receptionists to call me with the paperwork to pick up (I sense I'll need to call them .... how long before I need to nag?!?) Also booked in for another months blood tests, just to check there wasn't a fluke in last months (and check for other things) I think DH is disappointed it can take so long already and we've only just got started!

Can I ask your opinions? not sure when to tell boss. I sense that my appointments could affect work (She's already noticed doctors appointments and I've been having them at 830am). She's a friend and boss so no problem with her being understanding, but not sure when I want her to know .....

cederickerry I told my boss (purely boss, not a friend) when I started needing to go for daytime appointments. Friend colleagues I had told quite a bit earlier though, it's all up to when you feel is a good time. With regards to telling people generally I didn't for the first year or so - I was too worried about them pestering me. Once I got to the 12 month mark though and we were under the doctor I found it quite easy to tell people, as I was already telling them we were having problems and I knew they would automatically be sensitive about it. It was just the worry of peopl expecting it to be immediate that got me scared (but that ship has sailed...)

With regards to chasing up the paper work, I would imagine that to take no time, so I would probably ring tomorrow to check on it. Seems like you have a decent set of people around you (OH, boss, Dr) so that makes the battle a lot easier!

    Welcome to the newbies. :D
Am not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o :o

Well, Leopardlady - you and me know each other well! But I'm a cross poster too and I don't like to leave everyone!

Ginvzt, thank goodness you were seen - glad you didn't have to wait any longer to get the antibiotics as at least now they can kick in in start to fight it. Keep your fluids up and don't worry if you want to potter and do stuff - you'll soon be too shattered to carry on! Get well soon hun, x
