Also, bought Clearblue Fertility monitor, so am looking forward to AF for a change, so I can start on that machine:cool:
I put mine in the cupboard... I decided that after monitoring temps for 2.5 years, and CBFM for about 6months, I new pretty well I am ovulating, and especially with the scans for Clomid (and Letrozole next month), I should stop stressing out about all this. I have finished my 'fertility diary' from boots that I bought when we started ttc (with the thermometer), and decided not to get a new one. I still check my temps occasionally in the morning, but I am not recording them anymore.Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
My cycles are all over the place, so I'm never quite sure where I am, until the temperature goes up and stays up.
The cycle problem may be the problem though:o0 -
I'm very excited! I have my first private appointment tomorrow. Not quite sure what to expect - I hope we get lots of info, rather than just a little. Fingers crossed!Am not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o0

Hi all - thanks for your good wishes.
The appointment today was exhausting. It really took a long time to run through everything. Lots of consent forms - what will we do with the embryos if one of us dies and whatnot. We're going to do the long protocol - 2 weeks downregging, 2 weeks stimming and onto the egg collection and transfer.
The awkward bit is that the nurses were trying to book a slot when they thought they'd need the lab to be free for me, but my cycle could be anywhere between 30 and 60 days, so we can't pick a month let alone a week when my period will start!
So we've bought all our drugs and when I next get a period I need to ring up the nurses to see if that's the good time to start the drugs (I'm going to do CD1 not CD21), or if I need to take the pill for a a week or 2 to delay the start, or if I need to take the pill to make my period come.
The thing that did surprise me is that the consultant said that they are likely to only implant one embryo, as the stats on losing twins well into the pregnancy (around 21 weeks) are moderately high. So if my embryos are good quality they'll just put the one in.
I think I'm a little disappointed with that, because I was a little bit hoping that one big IVF push and we could have a fully formed family, but it doesn't look like it's going to be that way...
So hopefully within a month we'll be started!Am not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o0
