I think I'll just have to accept that I haven't lost the weight I had to, and accept the consequences. I am doing much more exercise than I ever did, I changed my diet, and I am not sure there is much more I can do.

In the end - the drastic diets are not for me. I can complain, that Clomid didn't help in losing weight (as one of the well known side effects is the weight gain - maybe they put you on Clomid before IVF referral just so you gain extra pounds and they don't 'have' to refer you (joking only)). I want to be in with a chance to have a baby each month, and not compromise the ovulation, etc.

I am healthy, I have been ovulating with no problems, my periods are regular - so the weight issue didn't affect any of those. I have been reading NICE guidelines this morning, and in the case of unexplained infertility, the ovarian drilling is suggested as well. I have never had that mentioned to me. Although, if we could just cut the long chase short, I would rather go for IVF.

Gin i wish and curse myself daily for not having more test before wasting time and thousands on ivf+icsi, at least if had , had more things ruled out i might have had an explanation by now and now am clutching at straws to find out why i keep failing before i use my precious frozen embabies, i only have 1 more shot at fresh ivf before my odds dramatically decrease.

I really hope it goes well for u tomorrow xx

My af has flared it's ugly head today, shouldn't be gutted but am as it's another slim chance gone :(, should be used to it after all these years but can't ever give up hope xx

I don't know of any more tests my consultant would do. He did the HyCosy, I had lap&dye, Clomid (7 month, first 4 unmonitored), I had all the blood tests to confirm I am ovulating, and OH had his test to say all is ok.

I am tired of worrying what might happen and just going to go with it. Whatever happens - I can't change it. I did not get my BMI down to 30 (lets admit it, it was impossible), but I have crossed the 31 barrier. (30.7 this morning). Considering starving until the appointment or having some porridge.. (Will probably give in knowing myself - no wonder I have all this weight!)

Hi everyone, just wanted to let you all know that I have been the docs this morning and have been referred to the fertility clinic (have 2 to choose from so was just googling them to see what they are like) I am nervous and excited.
Nervous at what they might find (although I have PCOS - confirmed years ago)
But excited that I am finally doing something about it.

it says on my form that appts are usually within 3 weeks and they will do a scan and some tests there and look into booking a lap & dye procedure, is this correct? or are all clinics different??

3 weeks? I hate to tell you, but every appointment I've had has taken longer. When my letter came through from the hospital to ring for an apointment (and I'd waited about 6 months for that letter from referral) I thin it was still another 11 weeks for the appointment, and that's been about standard for me.
    Maybe your pct is better?

Just done my appointment, got my refferal letter from the doctor this morning and made the appointment before which is for the 14th June, so 4 weeks away, could of had 11 days at a different hospital but the clinic isn't as good as the one I am going to (apparantley). So must be different in different areas??
