Hi princess85, and welcome to the thread!

I had my DS 7 years ago, and have never taken precautions since and yet still havent fallen - although I have had some problems along the way! Secondary infertility is possible, although equally it could be OH.

Making the Doctors appointment is a positive step, explain how long you have been trying, and maybe info about your cycle - how long it is etc, and take your OH with you if you can. Hopefully, he will arrange some blood tests for you to check ovulation and maybe a sperm test for OH. Or he may refer you straight away to a fertility clinic, who will do those things. It depends on what they do. He may send you away to keep trying for another few months. Depending on your age and how you feel, you may want to push if this is the case - and insist on tests or a referral.

Hope it goes well, and feel free to ask any questions you like - collectively we have been through just about every experience known to man and have survived to tell the tale!

Hope to see you on here more often, and good luck with the quack!

I am still here keeping an eye on you all. I am CD10, but I am away till Sunday, so not sure how much hope there could be this month. I am not doing any tracking this month - no CBFM, no BBT, nothing. Clomid free too. And I have to say, (TMI!TMI!) that I have so much cm, I don't remember ever seeing this much.

But, however small chance there is at the end of the month, I know I will end up hoping for a miracle.

Hi all - you have been quiet! i've been away since Friday and it hasn't taken me long to catch up...
I've been at conference for the NUT in Liverpool - very interesting stuff, and I enjoyed the city too. Then OH and I stayed 2 nights at Cadair Idris on the way back - very proud of myself for managing the walk up the big mountain! And best of all we managed a decent amount of BDing too.

A few questions I've been thinking about - maybe those of you with PCOS can help me. My scan earlier in the month showed that too many folicles developed on the side which has no fallopian tube. Now, as this is PCO (not PCOS) will that be an indicator that I am ovulating from that side this month (so i can count it as a no-hoper), or would I be likely to be developing those excess follicles every month. This would mean that I still could have ovulated from my good side this month if it were the case. I'm not sure if that just made sense...
Also, (and I may not get much response on this), I know I get different levels of CM each month. Do you think I will I be getting more CM on the viable ovulation months and less on the dud months? It's so long till I see the consultant (even though we're going private now) next and I was hoping some of you lot have had experience of this already, though I know not many of you have had tube problems...

I hope you all had a great Easter. I'm back to work on Monday and I feel like i've exhausted myself by running around all this week! I'll be regretting that a week into term when I'm wondering why I don't feel refreshed...

Hi, I brought some cheap testers that you pee on from ebay. Not one of them showed I was ovulating though I was told I was because of my blood tests, but then could have just been me!. Might be worth a go. Have not used a sperm tester so can't help you on that one.

Hi princess - I have been known to test - I use the Clear Blue Fertility Monitor - which is definately one of the better ones - cheapest at ?someone help me out her I cant remember the name of the site,,,,, and the pee tests that fit it are cheapest on amazon.

I have stopped for a while, as I found that I was obsessed. I think in general we have found that it is good to do for a couple of months to establish how your cycle works, and then to stop and just trust in the info you have already gathered iyswim - ie if you always ovulate on day 14, assume that that is still the case.

I use to do it quite a lot at first but nothing was showing up on the sticks, so I was getting a bit fed up with it. After my consultation and further investigations its was my partner who has the problem. Good luck with the testing.

I was taling to my neighbour yesterday who's in the middle of going through her IVF drugs. She's so down. She says how awful the drugs are making her feel. She can be a bit prone to depression anyway, and they're really making her entirely withdrawn. I can just see this happening to me. I react really badly to hormones - the clomid was a prime example (and I'm really pleased the consultant hasn't asked me to try those again).
I'm really scared now (and I know that wasn't my neighbours intention!) about how the drugs will affect me, and affect my relationship. Any advice?
