Maybe that is the real problem with me? That my lining is not good enough to keep any pregnancy viable? It is 6mm this month, and last month it was 9mm, which I was told is OK. But maybe OK is just not good enough?!
Oh gosh Ginvzt I don't know. Hearing all this, I am wondering if I should get back to my GP. I haven't seen him since he referred us to the failed IVF last year. I have had no checkups at all - no scans, laps, etc. Because we knew OH had problems, they didn't both with me.
Perhaps I should go and speak with him about Clomid, etc. I am terrified of the costs now I am over 40 and not earning.
Hopefully someone else will know about this...Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!

Congrats Emmzy just saw your fab news.
I had my appt today with consultant. Put me on waiting list for icsi/ivf. Think wait is around 7-9 months. All my tests came back fine but still need to go for laparoscopy but bad news on dh results. Count is above average as is volume etc but quality is poor. He has stopped smoking 5 weeks ago and is now going to give up drinking and try and get his weight down a bit with a few improvements to his diet. Have pregnancy vits for him and going to get more organic stuff so hoping can improve things.Yearly Grocery Budget - £100.77/ £3500. January Treats Budget - £11.80 / £100.0 -
hamish - at least you are on the waiting list. Those 7-9 months won't take to pass...
Are you going to have laparoscopy now or wait for the IVF clinic to do it?Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
Jiblets glad things are moving for you, will your treatment start in 6 months? x
No idea! The consultant's guess was about 6 months, but as our PCT is starting 2 NHS cycles in april she's expecting the queue to start getting longer - and it's already 6 months longer than the government's recommended year. So just go home and wait for the letter. Oh well...Am not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o0 -
Anyone watching the baby programme on bbc4? V interesting, esp as someone who had pre eclampsia nad three mcs....0

My local hospital which has infertility clinic will be doing it (within next 12 weeks). They don't do ivf/icsi though only iui hence why I have been refered on. On a really positive note though a girl on another forum who was refered last month from same hospital as me as just had her letter for 1st appt for May(so 3 months from referal to 1st Appt:j) So hopefully things will start moving fairly quickly for us. Priority number 1 is trying to improve DH sperm quality.Yearly Grocery Budget - £100.77/ £3500. January Treats Budget - £11.80 / £100.0

Jiblets they may have given you worse case saying 6 months fingers crossed they are x x
hamish glad your on the list, your OH results maybe a lot better if they do another test in a few months, I think those things really do effect mens sperm

Lilo good luck for this month x
angelavdavis can't offer any good advice but going back to ask them for a check up on you sounds like a good idea x
I am off to a posh do tomorrow and quite looking forward to it never get chance to get dressed up, were off to a rewards ceremony for OH & a few other officers, I have treated myself to a new dress and new shoes, my pjs will be wondering where I am :rotfl:0 -

Good luck with this. Is DH taking any supplements Hamish222?
I bought my DH the Zeta West Vitamen supplements, plus pycnogenol and l'arginine as they are all supposed to help with poor sperm quality/quantity. He dutifully takes all these and said that he has actually been feeling better in himself since he started. He also went through all sorts of awful tests before we got referred for ICSI but he has damaged sperm ducts due to a badly managed childhood operation and the opinions of the doctors was that they couldn't do anything.
Nichart20 -enjoy your night out. I'm very jealous. The best I get locally is a meal down one of our local restaurants if I am very very lucky! Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!

I'll have to give it a go next month! I am taking pregnacare, so I am not going to get extra vitamins (it already has E, B1,L-Arginine, Iron) and I am not sure of taking much higher doses. I know that too much vitamins can be bad for you too!
But I will add daily doses of other things (fruit & veg, nuts, etc) to give a helping hand!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
I didnt see that programme, sarah - but as I also had pre-eclampsia and 2 miscarriages, maybe I should have - what was it about (wonder if it is on Iplayer, may have a look)
Love and waves to everyone else - had a bad day yesterday with DS, which highlighted his lack of confidence in some areas, I had to be hard on him for his behaviour, but once I understood why, I really felt so sad. It is sooo hard being a parent sometimes, I was so upset. So, I have read everyones posts but cant manage responses at mo.
