Ok, a question for those who had laparoscopy - how soon after procedure did you resume bd? Consultant didn't say anything (or I was sleeping), and since I don't have the pains any more and feel fine, I wouldn't mind to squeeze in a couple of ttc this month...

Within a few days (for the same reason as you ;)). We were very gentle though, and OH was warned to keep all weight off my belly as it was still quite sore. Sadly, we didn't conceive that cycle either though.

Thanks Nicki! We tried ttc last night and while I was fine and had no pain, etc, I had quite a bit of bleeding afterwards... Hope it was nothing serious - will see how it goes in the next few weeks, and if something will make sure to mention to the consultant when i go to see him next time.

Ginvzt, I wouldnt worry, I have this bleeding when I have any gynae procedures done - I think its only being sensitive to the cervix being 'bashed'!!!! Mine always settles down no problem, it bleeds for the first few times less each time and then stops. If it happens past your next period, or you are concerned at any time, check with your consultant.

Well I don't know if anyone else on clomid has experienced this, but I've just had the most pathetic AF! My period was very late (40 days I think) probably due to the stress I've been going under. Then I had a day or 2 of DBS, then 2 days very light AF, and now its all over again!
For a start, I had great difficulty deciding what was CD2, as I kept waiting for "full flow" which never came. So eventually I decided to just start taking my tablets, and my period sort of ran clear straight away, IYKWIM, and I'm pretty sure it's now come to a complete stop.
So I don't know if the combination of the tablets and the stress has given me a light period (when I have late ones usually they're extra heavy) or if I was impatient and took my tablets before I should have and that's what stopped it in it's tracks....

I'm just a bit confused and I'm fed up of feeling like I have no control of my body.
On the upside MIL has booked OH and I 3 nights away in August for his birthday. I'm really pleased, as we weren't planning to go away anywhere this holiday (as we did buy that Honda Jazz that was recommended). So yeay for that!
Am not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o :o

Thanks lilo! I am sure all will be fine, but it was a bit of a shock, couldn't sleep well that night with the worry.

How is everyone else? It is incredibly quiet here these days... I am just getting bored at spending my days on the sofa, although at least I have a chance to do my cross stitch (baby duvet...). Going to make roast pork belly for tonight - fingers crossed it will work out!

Oh Ginvzt, I am here every day but I know this thread is moving slower than normal, so I tend to post on the TTC board as well just to give them all support and advice when needed. At least I can feel like a surrogate TTC lady for now!

I'm a bit of an old-timer I know, but until OH feels ready to go for medical intervention, then there isn't much I can do on my own! Hopefully his depression will soon be well under control and we'll be able to speed things along - but at the moment I just have to hide my frustrations and go with the flow. :o

BTW I do get bleeding even after just smear and I have always been told to not worry about it until it is prolonged and heavy - so I don't!

Hope you're watching lots of rubbish daytime telly - or at least some classy afternoon films! :D
  • Hi all,
I'm here too most days, wishing everyone luck - I just don't know too much about the medical procedures, clomid etc to offer any useful advice.

I was trying to work out (with one of those online ovulation calculators) when would be the best time for bd-ing and it's smack-bang in the middle of our holiday. We're going hiking and don't know exactly where we're going to be staying. Some nights we'll definitely be in our tent, but others we might be in communal rooms in trekkers' huts.....

Ooh Alex, that could lead to some memorable moments - talk about having a holiday go with a bang :rotfl:

You can tell us all about it on your return and give us a laugh - but remember if OH's sperm is good and strong then up to five days before you OV will put you in with a shout, so good luck to you, x

This happened to me, but be prepared as the second month after I had finished Clomid I had something that almost replicated Niagra falls & I was in agony for about three days, had to take time off work as I was constantly changing & clutching a hot water bottle. I wonder if it saved it all up as a parting gift
