Anyone have any experience of varicoceles? Hubby had a scan today and the person (what do you call someone who does ultrasounds? A scanner?) said he had a slight varicocele. Apparently he's going to recommend a referral to a urologist. We still have our FS appointment in October but I think this might end up setting us back even longer if he has to wait for a urologist appointment too, and potentially have surgery and wait to see if it makes a difference.
As for me, soy seems to be having no effectfor me. I had a positive opk on CD15 complete with a bit of CM, but no temp rise and the CM has vanished and I'm now on CD19 with no sign of an egg. This seems to happen every cycle now, my body gears up to ov, I get a positive opk, but thenthe egg doesn't get released and I end up ov'ing on something like CD 27 and having a stupid long cycle. Surely by that stage the egg would be poor quality?0 -
Angel so experience im afraid but whated to offer some *hugs*0

WonderWoman - after initial appointments and when you are ready to start treatment you phone them on cd1 and they arrange to send you all the drugs you need and tell you when you need to start taking them but your appointments will be fixed around the date they give you to start treatment.0

Hi everyone,
GL to all doing EC and injecting at the moment!
Tea - are you any further forward?
Hi Littleme82!
Pink Teapot - how are you getting on?
AFM:
CD2 here now, thankfully! Never thought I would want a period! So tonight I will start Round 2 of Clomid and take 100mg this time. I am going to book a blood test for 24th of Sept.
And so begins another 4+ weeks of stress.....0 -
Wonder_Woman wrote: »So today I have been day dreaming about actually starting treatment and just wondering - do you have to start your down regulation at a certain point in your cycle e.g CD1 or can you just start whenever depending on when appointments fall? Sorry if that if is stupid question but you all sound so knowledgeable and I haven't got a bl**dy clue what is about to happen :rotfl:
I was just given a date for down-regging, from what I remember it was after ov. but other than that I don't think they were that bothered about timing. It just seemed to fit around the appointments.
That attempt was cancelled and we then did a short-protocol cycle which was more time-specific (ie. scan and injections started CD2).
Best of luck, any idea when you're kicking off?0 -
Thank you for the welcome
CD29 and I have still not tested. My cycle is usually pretty much 28 days but this month I took 100mg of clomid so I guess that could have messed the cycle a bit.
We've decided I will test on Saturday if AF still not arrived. I do a dash to the loo and pee in the morning so I am not tempted.
guess I will have to start learning all the different types of FS treatments there are. New learning curve.
good luck to those starting their treatments x0 -

Sorry Angeltreats, no experience here.
MrsDavo, good luck with the Clomid, they reckon it mostly works in first 3 months.
Good news, my eggs are nearly cooked! I have 10 follicles, 2 are 17mm but there's 6 around 12 - 14mm, so egg collection is at Seacroft on Saturday, to give others a chance to grow. This means I can go to interview!! So can anyone recommend any decent, cheap hotels near Manc airport? Can't find anything, so thinking of staying in town and then heading out in morn, I'm presuming there's good public transport to airport?
Feeling less emotional and more positive today - it's all actually happening :-) Even got test day (23rd Sept).
How are you doing Partmouse? X0 -
Vseviour glad to hear things are moving long for you, knock them dead at the interview.

Just had a birth announcement and feeling a bit 'meh' now. They're a lovely couple, the baby is healthy and looks beautiful in the pic they've sent, and I'm genuinely happy for them.... but my heart hurts0
