Have just come back from a week camping, was lovely, but everyone had children except us..
We have started to accept that this is probably not going to happen for us... Its not a nice feeling and the only person I can talk to that knows is my sister (who has two children) and all she could say was "Oh well, when you were younger you didn't want children so its probably OK right?" when I said not really she said "oh, well, you could always adopt". ..
Sorry for whinge.0 -
I told my boss today that we are going to be having IVF (so I guess we're decided!) She was amazing and said I can have all the time I need as sick and still be paid or flex my hours / work from home where possible so feel a big relief that that is one less thing to worry about when the time comes. Turns out she has her own fertility issues and so I think she really understands.
 time2deal and yay for your appointment, only 1 month to wait!!0 -
T2d fab news and only 1 month to go for you.

I was completely shocked but so relieved - never ever expected paid leave.
Got my fingers crossed for you part mouse!!
Picklekin, I don't think people mean to be unfeeling but just don't realise what they are saying. One of the two close friends we told starting talking about sperm donors and all sorts...poor DH.0 -

Good luck Part Mouse, fingers crossed for you, hope it goes well. Let the emotions out now so you don't do it in public!!
Hugs Picklekin. I sometimes think sisters are born to make our lives a little harder.
Good news Wonder Woman, be glad to have such an understanding boss! Mine went mad this morning when I tried to change my days off (doesn't help that hubby works same company and only 15 members of staff). We've both ended up with 2 or 3 days unpaid leave.
Well done on weight loss t2d, october will come so quick.
