I'm 30 and my OH is 37
So you're pretty young, reproductively-speaking. You've got a good decade in you yet. If you'd said you were 35 I'd have suggested pushing for a referral to a fertility specialist. You've been trying just over 2 years though, which is a fairly long time. Give it another six months then start putting a bit of pressure on your GP I reckon x.

t2d, I know of women who've successfully had IVF who've got no vaginas at all. You can go straight into the uterus through the tummy wall for the embryo transfer, then whip the baby out the sunroof once it's cooked. I know you won't need this but I'm just trying to show you that there's always a way. They're right clever them doctors and your problems aren't insurmountable x."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0

Thanks ladies. I know there are still options, but part of me is losing the will to keep fighting. If it's not going to happen soon, then I wish I could just get home to Oz, and then decide what to do with my life.
But, in the interim, I'll just keep on fighting my way through the medical professions!0 -
T2d I can't imagine how upset your feeling with it all, try not to give up hope though. Huge hugs in the meantime.

Tcd, glad for your flare of hope, hoping you manage to hold on to that for a while

I hear up your frustration ttd. It seems so unfair how others have it so simple abd youve gone through sp much. Your baby will be cherished so much when s/he eventually gets here0

Thanks Fluff, that's what I keep telling myself but tends to go out the window when AF shows up and I start thinking I'll never a baby
.
Thanks for adding me to the list T2D, it's good to know I'm not alone in this especially as there's been a lot of pregnancy & baby annoucements at work over the last 18 months.
I have an appointment with my GP next Friday to go over all my test results and decide on the next step. Is it worth asking for clomid or should I go back to tracking my cycles using BBT or OPKs? Is clomid only effective for women with PCOS and ovulation problems? Blood tests showed I'm ovulating but slightly low progesterone (although within normal range) and have low FSH levels (lower than the normal range that came with my test results). I don't want to worry about nothing but don't want to overlook something that could be important. The biscuit will only dare to be just a biscuit when it is with its true friend the potato. Hi Rowan, I can't advise how it works in your area, but I'm surprised your GP hasn't referred you to someone with more expertise in fertility.
I was referred to fertility clinic and eventually (after all the usual tests, etc) was prescribed clomid despite the fact there was no indication I wasn't ovving. Didn't work for me, but know it has worked for others in my position.
The recently published NICE guidelines (you can google these, interesting reading) advised doctors not to prescribe clomid to people with unexplained fertility as poor chance of working and causes stress. However, if this is your only choice at the moment, and you really want to do something proactive, there is no harm in asking for some.0 -
Has anyone any experience or know anything about implantation problems or what I can do to improve implantation? I'm trying to explain my 'unexplained' fertility. Google is overwhelming though, so if anyone knows anything it would be appreciated!0

Thanks for the info Whattodoknow. We can't be referred to a FS until we've TTC'd for 3 years as we have no diagnosable cause for our infertility.
I'm also trying to find reasons for my unexplained infertility and have Googled it and was overwhelmed; I found googling specific infertility/ cycle symptoms made it more manageable. Have read that luteal phase defect or polyps can cause implantation problems. Has your fertility clinic suggested any reasons? The biscuit will only dare to be just a biscuit when it is with its true friend the potato. (Edward Monkton) :beer:0
