  • Thanks for all your messages. It is emotional but we are making sure we are spending as much time as possible with him and my nan. We are pretty close so it's going to be carp when it happens.

Ginvzt - sorry to hear about your nan. No words I say will change anything but I think spending time with the living and seeing someone just that once more can often mean a lot more than being at the funeral. xx

On a more positive note, I have just had my date through for my surgery (loosening my stictch from previous surgery and checking my tubes under anaesthetic) and it is on 22 December ...argh!! Really pleased about this as have been on waiting list for 7 months and need to see if tubes are blocked/damaged before we can move on.

So.... I start next follicle tracking on 7 Dec, this surgery on 22 so hopefully in the new year I will have a much better picture of what is going on and can start doing something about it!!!!

And this date means that I can finish work for Christmas on 21st and won't be going back til 4th Jan - hooray.

Even more positive, I am finishing work in half an hour and going out to play with a friend - shopping and supper - super.

    Have a good weekend everyone.

    xxxx

Sorry Nadine if I upset you, I truly didn't mean to and just want to give you a big hug, but as I can't do that I'll send you a virtual one :grouphug:

But great news about your surgery - and perfect timing for a nice break from work afterwards. Enjoy your afternoon - and your weekend! Absolutely tipping it down here, so hope it is better where you are!

Hamish, don't worry as I've often missed CD6 and started on CD7 instead - it still seems to work for me. Well, I say that... but this month I got a low on CD6 and a high on CD7 already! So doesn't look good for this cycle if it is going to be that weird! :o

Well now it's the weekend and my OH is home with my all day I have really realised how little energy I have after my op. I held off having a nap till about half 1 this afternoon because I was spending time with hubby, and I was awful then.
Does everyone feel like this after a normal laparoscopy, or is it only cos of my tube removal? I thought I was taking advantage a bit getting signed off for another fortnight, but I'm suddenly wondering if it will take me longer...

I was very tired. It was painful to move, so I spent most time on the sofa after my laparoscopy. But to be honest, the second week was feeling worse for me... (I am not trying to scare you, just sharing...)

eek, worse how? Tiredness or pain? I was planning on leaving my mam's and going back to my house (OH will be in work all day) from tomorrow. It may be worth reconsidering if I'm going to keel over...

(don't worry about the scare - I like to know what to expect from things!)

Jiblets, don't worry too much - we all recover differently from surgery remember, so the best advice is to just take it easy, take painkillers as needed and don't expect too much of yourself too soon!
  • Seconded from me, jiblets - listen to your body and take it easy. If you still need recovery at the end of your fortnight, extend it.

jiblets, really - don't worry!!! I think it was just my body playing up with me, as usual. I would say I was had more pain second week, and therefore was more tired... But I never heard of anyone experiencing this, so it is just me, I guess!

Thanks all. I'm going to head home this afternoon, so hubby and and I can spend a little time together without the olds (as good as they are) around. I'll spend Monday on my own and test the water. If I find feeding myself and that too difficult, then I'll head back to Mam's on Tuesday.
