Glad the meeting went well. IVF is scarily fast once it starts. We only did up to Egg Collection and ICSI (and into the freezer) but it was done and dusted in just over three weeks.

When I was at the clinic, there were regularly people there with kids. More than one in many cases. I wasn't too fussed, but for some reason it really bothered my DH. I think he thought that once you had one, you wouldn't be going for IVF. I didn't want to mention to him that I fully intended to try for two kids if we get the chance, so in an ideal world it would be us there with a little kid in the future!

I definitely want more than one child but I don't think I'll *ever* be the woman who drags her child to IVF meetings knowing that there are more than likely a vast majority of the room who are struggling to have one child... I just think it's the one place I expected the majority of people would be in the same place so having a doctor explain to us why we're all crap and broken whilst having a 4 year old diving around the room uncontrolled was a bit too much for me to bear. :o

Yes, I wouldn't ever actually bring a child to the clinic, especially people who were bringing tiny babies. Although where I went was also a hospital so they may have been there for other reasons.

I think I was more surprised that DH assumed no one would ever want a second IVF child! I felt I could save that news for later when he got over the shock of the cost of the first go. :)

TeaAndCake - glad evening went well, it is a lot to take in and I found consultation a lot more helpful as they went over everything clearly. I know what you mean kids at ivf meeting. When I went back to my ivf clinic a couple of months ago to have final blood test knowing I could afford to try ivf there was a women there who had brought her little girl and her mum and the mum looked after the girl when she went in to be seen and I could not help but wonder why the girl and mum could not have waited outside for her as the last thing I needed was a little girl sat opposite me when my world seemed like it was collapsing.

    Oooo t2d please test!! 20dpo?!??

TCD I've had a laparoscopy to check my tubes (which were fine) and for endo (which I don't have) in 2009. They didn't do hsg before clomid as my tubes were fine last time & reason for not conceiving so far was pcos. Really hoping not to have hsg x

I know. I know. I just can't face a(nother) BFN in this lifetime, and a positive just feels impossible - based on all evidence and history!

I'm going to give it a few more days. I'd love to have a proper symptom so I knew beforehand. If I can do it I'll wait until Sunday as DH is away on a boys weekend. 4 more days - I can do it if AF stays away.

A question to ladies with regular cycles, do you ever have randomly long cycles? It could be the mythical anovulatory cycle maybe.

Becca glad to hear the sugary carbs helped, big hugs to you.

TCD glad to hear the open everning went well. The counceling sounds useful aswell.

T2D tricky situation for you, hoping for a BFP for you.

I don't suppose there's any chance that ivf will magically make v irregular, long cycles into perfect 28 day ones is there??

    A girl can dream...

Be honest with me, does it make things even worse?

Is the first day of miscarriage bleeding counted as cd1?

I believe, based only on the experience of watching hundreds of women get pregnant on these boards, that getting pregnant teaches your body what it is supposed to do. So many ladies with chemical pregnancies then fall pregnant the next month.

I know obviously there are exceptions, but look at MV, MrsB28, even Abis (from memory) who went from miscarriages to pregnancies. (Apologies if these are wrong, but there are examples!)

Is there, as the FS like to call it, a 'male factor' for you too?

Last day of bleeding is CD1, all the hcg has to be out of your system before you'll ovulate
The internet is full of stories that suggest you're extra extra fertile straight after a mc but not necessarily a change in cycles.
Get on it girl, you never know! X x

T2D my cycle is very regular at around 28-29 days, but every now and then a long one comes along to get my hopes up and annoy me :) I've only ever POAS once at 35 days. Lo and behold AF arrived hours later.

Go for it TeaLover, only if you feel up to it..

I hope this evening has been a bit better for everyone, especially becca.

AFM, I had the weirdest urge to POAS this morning, which I've only done once in 4 years. Only on day 20 so am not going to. No point sulking over a bfn for no reason :D So why am I trying to persuade myself that the urge to test is a symptom in itself?!
35, OH 39, unexplained IF (all tests normal), no joy w/ 3 cycles of Clomid, IVF1, Jan 2015 - BFN. Currently in 1st FET cycle using endo scratch and EmbryoGlue, BFP 4th July. MC 12th July :'(
