Becca i have seen the research before (although obviously no idea where now that it would be helpful) that shows that the conception rate for people on clomid drops dramatically after three cycles so it's probably a case of the risk factors (and remember OHSS is a very very serious complication) don't outweight the benefits after three cycles.

although this is only the start of the third cycle for you so i have lots and lots of hope!

think it's like 40% chance of conception just from the extra oomph clomid gives you, then rises a bit more if it's monitored so you know when you'll ovulate

Thanks TL. My ovaries looked a state on the screen this morning so I know they are concerned about over stimulating.

Just sitting here blubbing that I don't work properly :(

I don't get why you can't have another cycle becca. I'm hoping that it still makes you ovulate this cycle though as are you about to ovulate right now? Xx

You're allowed to feel down Becca, just don't let that feeling take over. :) You're by no means out at all on this cycle so you'll just have to go for it! ;) With any luck by the time your next appointment rolls around you'll have a tiny bean on board! Go out and buy your OH lots of energy drinks, he'll need them! :p

Where are you becca? Are you home or at work?

Remember, things will get better, if you need to let it take over today then do, but you will feel better soon.

Where are you in your cycle? I get so depressed/irritable around ov time, so take that into account! Also, are you in a bad place of the month to have a drink?! I'm sure that's terrible advice... but sometimes I just need a glass of wine or two to calm me down.

ETA: Just seen you are about to ov, so give yourself a break - You are probably full of hormones! I always end up having some kind of argument or breakdown around ov, which is never helpful for BD'ing!

I'm at home now just about to nip out and buy the biggest stash of chocolate/rubbish which is great for my pcos!! Haha

I love you ladies so much :) you've been great today especially when you are all going through your own struggles. I might just stay here for a while ... Don't feel like I belong on the other thread
