BZ - thanks for the update, you are welcome to post here and understand why you don't want to move onto that thread. I really hope you can get a reassurance scan.

    Becca - sending hugs honey

Lucky loo - good luck, it is daunting but you will be fine.

Tea - sending huge hugs - I found it hard to do nothing as I too liked the scans, appointments and drugs as you were actually doing something positive.

Becca hopefully the clomid you have had will reset your cycles to a reasonable length and give you more chances. Up until around october my cycles were everywhere and now they're a pretty consistent 27 days - maybe it's been the kick start your body needed for you to do this naturally...? Is the "next step" IUI at your clinic? Did they ever check your tubes before doing clomid, I've forgotten?

Tealover, I can understand you missing it. I hope you get a plan to work with soon. Will be thinking of you for tomorrow.

    Good luck lucy!

I know it's a bit naughty and it's not supposed to show anything, but I did another test this morning and the line came up faster than you could blink and stronger than the control line. Which makes me happy :D ( pic here)

Mrshappy, what a time to disappear! ;)

Arrghh so now I'm having thoughts that I could rock up for the first dildo-cam scan tomorrow morning and they could take one look and decide for some reason that I'm not suitable or whatever for IVF, that everythings not as it should be or something And that they might just say "sorry, nothing we can do, thank you, bye". Could that happen??!?? I've not had much investigation into me (just bloods, which were all ok) as they decided its OH's motility that's our issue. Hmmmmm.

Yes that's basically right TL & tea. He said that if it was going to work it would have by now as my body had responded well since cycle 1. I've had 3 cycles of clomid now and today was my 3rd tracking scan.

I had my tubes checked a while back during a laparoscopy.

I have no idea what next step is but I'm guessing Iui? Will find out in 3 weeks.

Thanks for the support ladies xx

Well I'm no FS (clearly!) but that seems a bit silly to me. After all, you can both be in perfect working order, having sex at the right time, etc and it can still take a good few cycles to get the magic result. 3 cycles seems like a v short time to try something, that he's already admitted is working as it should.

I would have thought another couple of cycles on clomid would have been easier (if nothing else) than moving straight onto whatever is next.

But then I'm feeling grumpy with the world today :o so you shouldn't pay attention to me!

Gosh that just seems a little too much to soon to me Becca! :o If it's working well then maybe it's simply a matter of timing, after all, people who don't need Clomid to OV only have a small chance of catching an egg every month! Or am I being dim?! :o Can't understand why they feel the need/rush to move onto something else after only 3 cycles?

ETA: Cross posted with Tea! Glad I'm not the only one flummoxed by this logic! :p

At least with IUI (if that's what they offer) it will give you an even greater chance of conceiving... if it results in a baby then try not to worry too much about how you reach that goal! :) Hope you can relax a little in these 3 weeks.

Lucy, try not to stress too much, I'm sure they won't turn you away once you've been through the indignity of the dildocam! :)

I don't know why he's only giving me 3 cycles either. He did mention side effects so maybe that's why. I was so gutted as fully expected to have 6 cycles of clomid & was convinced I'd get pregnant by that point.

I think it's the not knowing that's horrible. I'm in a foul mood as don't deal with the unknown very well!!

My clomid scan was awful this morning. Consultant had said no more clomid and we have to move on to the 'next step' whatever that is because all of my tracking scans have looked great, clomid obviously isn't going to work for us.

I am gutted beyond belief ... I was convinced I would get another 3 cycles of clomid and that it would work. Now I'm just terrified :(
