  • TL, BZ & WTDN. I feel the same. I haven't been to work in 3 weeks. My sick note runs out tomorrow and I'm dreading the GP not extending it. I barely leave the house and when I do I just stare at the floor as there are no bloody pregnant women or their babies there... hugs to everyone in need. This is so tough.

Tcd, do you have an appointment with the gp for extending it? There's no reason they wouldn't, from what I can see, but I've been in the position you're in now (different causes of course) before and can understand your anxiety about it. :o Have you considered a bit of counselling to work through all the knocks & shocks you've had recently?

Thanks onestep, I'll inform him ;)

Hope the results come back quick and clear, part mouse

Wel went for my scan today and back on tamaxafin, need to start tonight but really worried about taking it as I suffer with depression.

My GP has extended my note thankfully. She wasn't too impressed at my medication non-compliance so I have promised to take the pills. She's going to refer me for counselling at my next appointment after I've completed the pills for a couple of weeks. My work has also given me an assistance number and I may be able to access counselling through that sooner. It sounds like hell though- I'm only good at saying how I feel to the women in these forums who I don't know in real life... :o

I can relate. Saying things out loud can be harder than typing them out too, for me. Tasking to a stranger, out loud ;), can be faster and more beneficial too though. Hopefully it'll be just what you need. Glad the stick note is extended and your gp seems to be looking after you. Hope it gives you the breathing space you need.

Be kind to yourself in the meantime. :)

Part mouse, did they discuss that with you as a side effect possibility?
