Just a quick question for any of you lovely ladies who had clomid after very long cycles... When you stopped taking clomid what happened to your cycles? X
I've not taken clomid this cycle or last and I've just ovulated on something like cd 12 (forgotten already). However I think it was vsevoir?, on here, had a relatively long cycle when she took a break from clomid. In theory the clomid affects linger for a bit. In theory it could reset your body to a better cycle regularity. In practice, it's not predictable and "every woman is different"
BigZippy, when is your next appointment with your clinic?
End of May. 3 lbs to go... :undecided

I was actually thinking last night, after my best friend out-of-the-blue'd me on her pregnancy announcement (with much trepidation, she was in tears bless her), that I can only think of one, maybe 2 female friends past or present who have no children/aren't pregnant. It's somewhat depressing  I was ok with the news initially, especially since it's probably not sunk in yet, but dh was very down and "when's it going to be OUR turn" straight away :(

I'm 3dpo now according to ff's interpretation of my temps, but I'm holding out no hope...at least I should be able to see what my lp is though :) I think af's due on/around my birthday though, so hoping I don't throw a wobbler then...

The fostering packs never did arrive so I'll have to request them again

I've been reading along, am mentally welcoming the newbies and the ladies who've come over from the other thread, but haven't delurked to say so, so welcome

Tealover I know there's nothing we can say that will assuage your doubts etc, but I'm hoping you're winding yourself up about nothing & that your clinic will be reassuring and helpful tomorrow (today? :p)

T2d hope dtd becomes painless soon. Even just missing out for so long can make things uncomfortable the first time(s) back, so I'm sure there's probably an element of that mixed in too. :)

Thinking of you tea lover. How are you feeling today?

Morning, thanks again for all the thoughts and good luck messages, it really does mean a lot x.

Still no change really. I haven’t POAS since the teeny tiny line yesterday morning, am now too scared to go anywhere near them! I have definitely over-googled though. For every post I read saying this happened to someone and was the start of a miscarriage, I can find another post from someone saying it just happens and not to worry about it. In the same way, for every post I find from people who’ve bled on cyclogest, there are ones from people saying they didn’t bleed till a week after they stopped it (even when blood tests showed no pg). So my overall conclusions are a) I have no idea what’s going on, and b) people who are TTC really do write a lot on the internet.

I’m in two minds about calling the hospital as what am I actually freaking out about? A lighter (but still positive) test? I know what they’ll say to that – I’m sure they’d be lovely about it but there isn’t actually anything they can do. According to them I should be 4+4 today (according to EC/ET dates I would be 5wks). Either way it’s too early for a scan.

I’m not bleeding (despite lots of trips to the bathroom to check) and I’m not in pain – so I guess they’re good signs. I don’t have any pg symptoms, but it’s early days and they’re not guaranteed anyway. My boobs are still a bit tender, but that’s definitely cyclogest as they hurt way before ET.

So after all that rambling (oops), I suppose it’s just a case of wait and see. There’s nothing I can do either way, other than hope and pray. It's out of my hands.

I never thought I'd be in the position of wanting to feel sick though!

Big hugs Tea, I've got no advice but I'm thinking of you and sending super sticky vibes your way! :) Hope you've made up with your OH (i.e. he's realised he's a jacka$$) :)

Sorry about your screwy cycle Part Mouse, have you been to the GP about that? I'd be crawling the walls if I was bleeding that much! :o

Hugs for the BFN Wtdn :( I hope AF stays away and it was just a shy bean. :)

I'm glad you had a good holiday T2D. :) Good that the BD wasn't too painful. :) If your OH is anything like mine, the first one after a 6 week break wouldn't have lasted long anyway! ;)

Big hugs to you and your DH Zippy. :) You'll smash the weight-loss target by your appointment I'm sure! :)

Becca, hope your post-Clomid cycle is nice and short/normal. :) Totally with you on the fed-up of the other thread-ness right now too. I just skim read at the minute to find the long termers' news. :o

    Morning Ladies,

I would like to officially join your thread please. I have been posting on the ttc thread 15months (and lurking here for about 6 months) but things have moved on to the stage now where we are going to need more help.

A little about me. I am 38 and a half, never been pregnant, have very irregular cycles. Have had most of the usual tests and OH is 'normal', my tubes are clear, I am ovulating by myself but it is unpredictable when exactly that will happen.

We have tried one round of clomid which gave me my earliest ovulation and highest temp spike at ovulation and increased my LP by one day to 15 days but unfortunately I didn't get pregnant.

Now we have been referred to the IVF clinic (because of my age - its IVF now or I am too old) and I have my assessment at the end of May after OH produces yet another sample for testing. Pretty terrified of the whole IVF thing to be honest.

    Thanks for reading.

Becca, I've had cycles where I've bled for 7 weeks straight, I've had cycles that were 3 months long... I don't think I've ever had such regular cycles as I've had the past 9 ish months - you can probably see on my ff my cycle history? For reference, I have PCOS and endometriosis

    Thanks birdie, hope so!

    Firefly, welcome

    Tealover, fingers crossed :)

We've just hit a milestone of Mil passing away so we had some drinks last night. Dh is working from home today and woke me early for a cuddle. FF has, as a result, taken my cross hairs away  yesterday I had the first cross hairs I think I've ever had (I gave up temping a year (or 2?) ish ago cos it was fruitless for me, so I was excited/reassured, & now I'm miffed it was just an Indian-giver :p Hopefully it'll put them back tomorrow  otherwise I'll be forced to remove/discard the temp ;)

I think cake might be in order today ;)

In response to the clomid questions.. I've had a look at my cycle lengths before, during and after clomid (because I am that bored at work).

    The 5 cycles before (no treatment at all) were 59 / 45 / 35 / 38 and 33 days.

    The four cycles of clomid were 40 / 46 days (50mg) and 38 / 31 days (100mg).

The next two cycles (no treatment) were 32 and 36 days.

The next cycle after that was icsi.

Not sure that really shows anything lol! Other than it still varies quite a lot. It does seem that I needed the slightly higher dose of clomid to get things working, so it's always worth upping it if the first few cycles don't seem to be doing the trick.

BZ - cake is always in order :) x
