right have been over on hypno's thread (actually got time to visit other diaries today) and as usual it has given me something to think about....ok it is November and the end of the year is coming closer. this year i havnt really done much in the way of money saving and debt busting kinda just been ticking along ...but i really want to get on top of my finances and other things ...so i am going to take a few days to think about a challenge that i can do accomplish ...i struggle with challenges i really do ...i think some of the reasons for this is because these challenges arnt really for me ...yes they suit other people and other people do great at them ...but i dont seem to have the staying power...this may be because of my work or it may be because of many other things ...i think that should become apparent throughout the year ...so i am going to have a few days now and think about it ...any ideas obvioulsy would be welcomed

Hi there El - thinking of the dramas you had recently, sound like some downtime is really necessary - you're doing the background work still, so just enjoy it while you can.

well i am up nice and early ...uni starts an hour later so i got a whole hour longer to have another coffee and maybe some more toast....oh and catch up lol ...well scratchies done i never seem to get more than 10p anymore ...

my plans for next year are still being hatched i am trying to get something that will work for my family (hubby and me ....with son thrown in when needs must) and that will not be easy but will not be impossible either ...i am heading down the one take away a week route 6 restaurant meals a year saving for a lawnmower and laptop ( i really really miss msn and talking to a poster than tends to lurk) continuing pad as long as i am in the black in one of my accounts and carrying on lemon trees great idea ...i dont want t have too many either ....incase i forget or get overwhelmed with any ...so will be thinking this through

Enjoy that extra hour.....you could fit two coffees in, rather than just one.....make the most of it!

I struggle with challenges too El. I think it is important to make the finances stable first by looking at pruning stuff and as you rightly say building in some respite. The one thing i have found is that the OH's do dig their heels in over stuff- so a bit of leeway will get you a long way.
Plus you do have a lot on your plate with Uni and all the conflicts and trials that brings you- but think on you are half way academic year/ course so all good there.:T
