Hi El, yes it is, its my dad - I wrote a little bit on my thread - he joined up in June 1940, when he was 18, and was demobbed in 1946. He served in North Africa and the Middle East, on a wireless reconnaissance unit. My mum always says how good looking he is/was, and this is the young man she met :) Its just for this time around Remembrance Day.

If you have done lots of research and gathering of information, which you seem to have done, then it is not exactly as though you have done nothing towards the essays.

yeah atleast i know when i can be bothered to do it all the info will be here waiting for me ...i have found (and i wonder if i am alone) i love reading i really do it is one of my many passions...but reading for academia bores the pants off of me ...i would rather be reading about dragons and sorcerers and quests ...than how to do icebreakers ...that is this weeks homework (not that i went yesterday i couldnt face the tutor ...he does my head in) we have to make up an ice breaker and say what are good about them ...i dont know anyone that likes icebreakers

    I hate icebreakers too.

How about getting everyone to describe themselves as a chocolate in a selection box.......which one would you be? Dark, soft centred, a bit hard to swallow, the one that tastes better than it looks, the one that is nothing like it was described, or the one that always gets left til last because no one likes it, but still gets chosen eventually simply because any chocolate is better than no chocolate

Or is that just me bringing my obsession with chocolate to the classroom :rotfl:

i have no doubt the tutor would look at that as something like ...oh you would be the white one you must be prejudiced ...and you would be the really black on you must like rap music ..yes that is what this tutor is like sadly enough ...

before someone said they were a robot(doing an ice breaker) and the answer to that one was " that tells me so much about you ...you dont want to be involved in human issues and prefer to doing things without using your brain" the girl was like "eh no it was the first thing that came to mind " arrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggggggghhhhhhh ...no wonder i cant stand these classes ...
