Have to admit the pain has receeded to where it was at the weekend .... Still incredibly sore but no where near as bad as it was .... I passed out in Uni yesterday I don't know if it was the pain the drugs or both ... I suspect both ... Today I havnt taken any painkillers but still feel a bit sick .... I'm kinda hoping in a way that the reabsorbtion phase has maybe started and if so and it goes well I might not need an op ... Hubby has been a dear bless him ... I think he panicked with ne not being well and I know he is panicking about money but he is saying I have to get better that is the priority ( as if I would argue that one lol) bless his wee cotton socks lol
That doesn't sound good:o Have you rung GP and mentioned this?
Re the money, i am sure that you both have good coping skills there, you have done it before and can do it again..your health is more important.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -

yep your all right i have to think about my health first ...and i am ...and it actually feels kinda liberating putting yourself first ....
shaun i did leave a few hours between taking the pain killers and the anti inflammatry's but i think i still maybe took them too close to each other ...still feeling kinda queezy today but it has settled down ...i have stopped taking all the pain killers and anti inflammatry's as well ...the pain hasnt increased to an unbareable level yet so i am hoping not to have to take them again ...went for a reiki session today it helped a bit ...0 -

well according to the web sites i visited between one and three weeks ...i think i would put up with the pain for one to three weeks if it meant no op ...the dr though seems to think that i will need the op as not everyone reabsorbs the calcium (sounds like a totally alien thing yuck) but i am gonna remain hopeful even if he isnt ...have got the physio on monday to see what he can do ....it's costing me £30 but i dont mind if it means i get some help ...0

In that case EL..I sincerely hope that it reabsorbs so that you cam avoid the op.If the session helps you then £30 is money well spent.0

Hope that the physio goes well! Really need to beat the pain. Have you ever tried a tens machine - that stimulates your pain beating endorphins - helps people with back problems and pregnant women - just wondering whether it would be any help to you!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

hey saving have the physio today ...
have tried the tens (we have one for mr el's back) it was a very unusual experiance hubby had put it on a altering mode.... all was fine till it hit one mode and then i altered between screaming and laughing my body was twitching and i couldnt get it turned down.... quite a funny time ...anyway the upshot was it didnt work unfortunatley but it was fun to try...
have managed to cut down on my painkillers which is good0 -
Good lord - the TENS used to be recommended for women building up to childbirth - that sounds horrible tho! Sounds like things have stabilised for you otherwise, El, but you're not saying that you're *not* in pain, so there's still a problem.
I've had calcium "spurs", in the past, in my foot and on my hand, and I reabsorbed both times, tho it was always painless (apart from having to walk on the spur, which hurt a *bit*) - because of the level of pain you have, tho, I'm not sure if thats the same thing or not. I really hope the physio helps today, El. Thinking of you.2023: the year I get to buy a car0
